Agreed, unless it's part of a 5 man midfield. His only good midfield performances came in a 5 man midfield. I actually think we'll line up something like this for our CL games... Randolph Saunders Page Hutchy Hammell Ojamaa Law Hateley Lasley Murphy Higgy with Hateley sitting in midfield in a 4-1-4-1 type position. I remember reading on WTFC page after page on thread after thread about how awful David Clarkson was for Motherwell. About no movement, touch, awareness, ability etc etc. Let's be honest, if he played for Aberdeen or Kilmarnock with a goal scoring record like that not a fuck would be given about him. He would be a poor signing and would probably cost a fair bit in wages. Higdon, Ojamaa, Murphy & McHugh will do for me. Just my opinion, mind.

Just never really rated him OTF. He was with us for 6 or 7 seasons and his goal scoring record out of them was 2 good seasons, his first and his last (I'm sure someone could present us with exact figures for each year). Hasn't really worked out for him down south either (despite his injuries) and I think we need to replace Jennings and strengthen our (young) defence first before up top.
