I'm sorry but I disagree. I'm not saying the boos were justified, and I've never booed myself, but I believe that if people want to boo on the back of 2 shite performances and 2 shite results, they're within their rights to do so. You say "what good does it do?", surely it gets the message across to the players & management that the fans see the effort & performance as unacceptable? What good does standing up in silence at the full time whistle and going home do?

How about you get off your high horse and stop telling people how to act (yes I appreciate the irony). If people want to boo after getting humped 3-1 and conceding 9 goals in 2 games, it's their right to do so. You may not think it'll help, but it gets the supporters' opinion across to the players/management.

I voted exceeded expectations & results. The thing that has 'least impressed' me was the other option(and I used that term loosely, because it's not a MAJOR concern), because I think that he tries to play the youngsters a bit too much at times (in my opinion). Take the Celtic game for example, 3-2 down and chasing the game, and he brings on Jamie Pollock instead of John Sutton. IMO Sutton is 10 times more likely to get an equaliser than young Pollock was. Overall though, a great start!

I've not read this thread through properly because it's 15 pages long and this is the first chance I've had to comment but I really enjoyed the game, everything about it. Granted I thought we were going to get pumped and we showed great character to get back into the game. Celtic were always going to come out fired up for the 2nd half, and it was going to be really hard for us to play well, so I don't blame our boys for not playing as well in the 2nd half. Some strange decisions from Gannon to play Meechan from the start (which I thought worked well for the first 20 mins or so, but then he faded out badly), and to bring on Pollock instead of Sutton, but all in all I was pleased with how our young boys coped. Also some brilliant songs from our support. The John Kennedy one had me institches, and the abuse McGeady got was brilliant. "If Fox can play for Scotland so can I" was good aswell, as was the constant chanting of "Thierry Henry". Probably my favourite ever game at Fir Park!

To be honest I'm not overly disappointed. Granted I've not seen how bad the performance was, but it sounds like we were unfortunate with refereeing decisions and the like. Hibs are in a great run of form so far this season, and it was always gonna be a tough game. I genuinely believe we'll take at least a point at home next week against Celtic. Would be nice, seeing as it's my first game since we humped Flamurtari 8-1... I also believe that as much as Gannon is being slated for changing it at half time, he would also be getting it in the neck if he had left it. That's not a dig, just a reflection.

I don't think Gannon has done anything wrong to be honest. If he doesn't want to talk to the media, then good on him for sticking to his morales and not doing so. I'm sure his thoughts and comments on the game will be up on the official site at some point. Good on you Jim!
