I don't think Slane could do a job up front on his tod. His best strengths are skinning the fuck out of people and his delivery ain't too bad either. I reckon Sutton & Baby Fitzpatrick will be up top again.

I thought last week after the St Johnstone game that we'd do well to take a point from Killie, but judging by the highlights I've seen & the comments by those that saw the game, it sounds like we played really well, and I'm confident we can get something from this game. Aberdeen have been shite so far this season (last week excluded). I'd be pleased with a point, but I see no reason why we can't win this one. The team is anyone's guess, although I don't think Gannon will change it from last week's win.

You probably have to see it to appreciate just how funny this actually is, but there's a particular nightclub in Inverness, and all of the toilets have one of these boys in it. One of the toilets has this wee Nigerian guy, and he is the funniest fucker I've ever met. He sits and makes up wee rhymes to try sell his products and get his tips. Ma Saturday night isn't complete without hearing such lines as "Wash yo fingaas for de mingas" "no splash no gash" "no armani no poonany" and his most epic line ever "no peeeenk no steeeenk" You probably have to see it, but it's top quality.

Aww you were joking? I didn't realise that. The general tone of the post implied to me that you had insider knowledge & that there WOULD be a signing today. Especially when you replied with "just you wait and see" to somebody. I thought you were being serious! I don't think it's a case of "taking things far too seriously", it's more a case of we've been told a signing is in the wings, and when people think its funny to say "there will be a signing today" it just gets people's hopes up for no reason, that's all I was meaning.

No need for the "I know something you don't know" chat NWF. If a signing doesn't come off today you will have annoyed a lot of people.

I know a lot of posters don't really like all the speculation and the whole "my source" chat, but I fuckin love threads like this. All the claims and facts and bits of insider info are first class.

I remember Melvin Bragg & Lobey Dosser (i think?) were always slating McGhee, and I could never quite get my head round why. But after he's left, it all really has come to light. He's an absolute wanker of a man, the dodgy deals etc he has (allegedly) done are nothing short of scandalous & it's clear he knew he was off, and didn't really give a fuck about us any more. And for what it's worth, I know some people don't really rate our chairman, but I think he's been fucking brilliant the last couple of years. Hiring McGhee, funding Hughes & Porter (allegedly), (allegedly) stopping McGhee selling off our youngsters, organising us a shiny new park & then getting then fucking legend that is Jim Gannon in. He's some boy.

That's a bit unfair mate, no? People have a right to an opinion, negative, positive or otherwise. I thought we'd be beaten today and I said so in the pre-match thread. Doesn't mean I wanted the 'Well to win any less than anybody else. My point is that people are allowed negative opinions, it doesn't make them the 'pessimistic brigade'! Anyway, great 3 pts!
