I really like that Maguire is constantly offering for the ball off the centre halves, looking in those wee pockets to pick up the ball, but he just doesn’t play any forward passes when he gets it. He refuses to turn and go forward, just constantly backwards or out to Jake Carroll. He needs to turn and play the ball forward.

An abysmal opening few minutes but we seem to be settling in nicely. St Mirren are dire.

I’ve not read the Liam Kelly interview but he’s absolutely right, we have one of the angriest most aggressive most confrontational fan bases in the country. Grown men standing and screaming until they are blue in the face at anything they can justify. The ref, our own players, Alexander, even each other in the stands. It can be horrible to be in and around. Just look at the reaction since it’s been posted, “stfu”, “get to fuck”, “just focus on St Mirren” etc etc. He’s completely right. Edit - just to be clear I’m all for shouting and raising your voice and what not when merited, but it is a million miles too far so often.

I wonder what formation/line up we will see. O’Donnell playing would be an interesting one. 10 years tomorrow we were playing in the Champions League, now we’re getting humped out the diddy euro cup by an Irish side and facing the prospect of getting beaten in the league by our B team. The rollercoaster etc.
