I thought Patterson had a very shaky first 10 minutes but was very solid after that, more effective going forward than O'Donnell. I think O'Donnell is the better option of the two but for weaker teams where we want our wing backs to get forward more Patterson would be my preferred choice.

Given how well Patterson played the other night the knives will be out for O'Donnell if he isn't anything other than his usual solid self.
