i think its because randolph is just a solid goalkeeper that just gets the job done whereas ruddy was prone to the odd mistake or would make an amazing save, drawing more attention to himself( not that randy doesnt make amazing saves its just ruddy became well known in thespl with the save at united). all in all though id rather have big randolph in, he's solid and he's an absolute tank, meaning that i have no concerns when hes collecting crosses etc, and it was also hilarious when he ragdolled that wee bitch griffith at dundee

aye me to , by no means was casagolda an amazing player but he wasnt any worse than jamie murphy yet he doesnt get any stick. now im as big a fan of jamie murphys as the next well fan and i think hes a great wee player but he was awful tonight when for example he kept being caught and pushed off the ball by that clown sissoko. give casagolda a chance, he's hardly played any first team football all year and you all expect him to just be banging in the goals

Motherwell have tonight completed the signing of Blackburn Rovers defender Gavin Gunning on loan until the end of the season. Gunning, an Irish U21 International, has had loan spells with Tranmere Rovers, Rotherham and, most recently, League Two outfit Bury. The 20-year-old joins the club as cover for the departed Mark Reynolds, who left for Sheffield Wednesday earlier in the transfer window.
