Boyle did not up the goals. The money was required to be able fund the projected large six figure loss for this year. What would the point have been in the Society taking over if it couldn't have then properly funded the running of the club ? We would then have ended up in administration pretty sharpish.

The particularly interesting point in the club statement as regards future ownership is " provided there is clear evidence that more of our fan base is willing to support the initiative ". So what are the determining factors for that and how is the Well Society going to achieve this? The Well Society failed to raise both the £800k and the £1million pledge it was seeking to do so what is going to change? If they do not meet this Mr Hutchinson could have been repaid all the money he lent the club by the club and essentially have become the owner at no cost to himself. Does this sound a worryingly familiar story that echoes the problems faced by fans down south?

The Next Manager, Who Would You Want And Who Could We Get
the traveller replied to stuwell's topic in Club Chat
Giving a serial failure like Butcher an interview does not auger well for the future running of the club if that's the way our new owners envisage our future direction lies. -
Given that in Scotland we don't have 'barristers but advocates presumably the person concerned will be versed in Scots law otherwise you may have considerable problems.
-
At this rate you'll be selling off your camera with no new pics to be taken..........
-
Alex Neil with Accies took one game to get his side to score and win at Parkhead. McCall took 9 games to get a goal and a single point. We don't need to look too far to see what the major problem currently is and what the answer to it is.
-
I'm just glad that we didn't have a depleted side through injury out there today or it could have been embarrassing.
-
Who would have thought that Stjarnan was actually a high point performance. Today was just abject ineptitude ness at all levels. McCall says he's furious with the players for their schoolboy display. His management isn't even at nursery school level. How about looking in the mirror and doing the decent thing and fucking off.
-
McCall says there is a lack of confidence at present. In him there most certainly is.
-
Do you honestly believe that if he stays it will make any difference?
-
Maybe he wanted his photograph taken with the 'famous' Decorator since he's never had that honour in a European game.......
-
I'm just glad we had a 'good week on the training ground ' otherwise that could have been quite embarrassing ........
-
Well if he didn't then presumably he saw it like we did so why didn't he change it?

Neither currently nor in the foreseeable future do we have any players with a transfer value. For a 'selling' club that is a particularly worrying financial situation to be in having no 'assets'. Presently there is a significant dearth of quality in our first team with virtually nothing coming through our youth system. That does not auger well on the playing front. It is extremely naive to believe that because our poor start has happened before that everything will be alright because that was what happened then. That is the past. It's history . We are on the cusp of a 'perfect storm' the consequences of which don't bare thinking about. Simply ignoring the glaring deficiencies in the current management and playing structure will only lead to one outcome.

Still look on the bright side McCall is now accepting some responsibility for the never ending debacles

The match stats were Utd had 6 shots on target, we had 0. They had 10 shots wide we had 1. Does anyone honestly expect us to win a game based on that? Yes Leitch did perform well in parts of the game but far too often particularly in the 2nd half he wasn't picking anyone up or as he did in Iceland at the 3rd goal allowed his man to drift off and was left standing alone. He was far from being outstanding. As for this crippling injury list Hammell hasn't been missed so far, Vigurs as we know is everyone's favourite on this board and how many games has Ramsden played in 2014? It was a better performance but given how inept we have been so far that wouldn't be hard. At best we were going to get a scoreless draw but as the game went on the inevitable happened. Inverness will be interesting .

A fit Motherwell would not be a match for a fit Utd. Last season they dismantled us and produced some of the best football we witnessed. Apart from Albion Rovers of course.I just hope that we don't try and be all defensive and actually play two forwards up front. It's amazing what that can achieve. A draw would be more than satisfactory.
-
Hammell out. Clean sheet. Strange that.
-
Hammell out for 3 weeks, that's only 9 months too short
-
I'm sure the draw will be a hot topic of conversation at the free meal tomorrow the club have laid on as a thank you to those who went on the charter to Iceland. Meanwhile the rest who went, the majority, will be getting...........

Read the post. We don't know that he actually accepts responsibility for the debacle unless of course you can direct me to that, cue the sound of silence.
-
Perhaps Mr McCall could look at the way Mr Deila has conducted himself after a European debacle and for once actually learn something.
-
So in summary we didn't : Sign the replacement players we knew we needed Learn at all from our scouting of the opposition Ensure our necessary levels of physical fitness were reached Have sufficient match practice Pick the correct team Use the correct tactics Have players in their correct position Make the proper substitutions Place the proper weight to the financial value of the game to the club Acknowledge the enormity of the result or appreciate properly those who travelled to it All of this has happened before and was entirely preventable. So does anyone else have such a cv for their employment and has managed to retain it?

That's only now 8 games in Europe under McCall that we haven't had a clean sheet. He's right though to be upbeat as we've now scored in 2 games in a row. And we only got put out on a 1 goal margin
