Im pretty amazed and gutted with that result. From my point of view any small add on benefits from the board rooms point of view do not take away the fact that this split, resetting of points etc etc is completely Mickey Mouse. Stay in top 8 and play same teams over and over and over again. Its a yawn fest. Not gonna go down the road of throwing my dummy out the pram but can safely say 3 season tickets in my house will not be renewed. Will pick a few attractive fixtures next season and leave it at that to guage how it goes, but definitely against it.

What every club in the country must bear in mind, is that if fans don't want it, it will not work; and if fans are pushed away their projected income figures will be useless.

I agree with this. For far far too long decisions are based on 'what will help us this year and next'. There has to come a point where scottish football starts to think long term. Most things are nonsense that are spoken by the so called experts. The reality is most fans want to pay a fair price at the gate and quality could be reduced if we are seeing 11 guys trying their hardest for the jersey. If its affordable and people see end to end football against different teams then people will come back. I know cheap tickets have been tried but it must be done for a period of time(a season or 2) to let people get a chance to come along, catch the bug and make it habit to watch football on a saturday at 3pm

Plus our clubs were made to build stadiums far too big for 95% of the games

Thats a fair point, last night I watched Exeter v Torquay and the atmosphere looked far better on TV than virtually anything the SPL dishes up. Sad really.

Exactly this ^

All we can hope for is that if the Society overwhelmingly dont want this change, then the club carry the wishes back to the voting table. Personally I have my doubts about this. I don't like the changes. I am a firm believer that the changes required are not so drastic. The way I see it is fans are being kept away through 3 reasons. 1. Cost of getting into games 2. Boredom 3. Lack of competition Not everyone will ever be happy, but for me leagues could be left as they are. 2 up and 2 down with a play off for potentially 3 up 3 down. Means we get to see some different teams every year and for teams that go down there is a realistic chance of coming up sometime soon. Obviously cash has to be spread more evenly. On those points this doesnt require some mental system. From the aspect of gate pricing the whole game needs to look at various ways in which prices can come down for a sustained period to try and get people through the gates again as a habit. Without this the game is finished. If the mental system does come in, then like someone else said earlier I wont throw my toys out the pram, saying I wont be back, but I will pick the odd game here and there. Not paying SPL prices to see 1st Div football Im afraid.

"Thanks for the note and I understand that you may not be happy however when the request came in from United on Thursday to move the game we looked at the options for the match. After speaking to the manager and looking at the competitive dates i.e. when United are playing, we decided that a move to the Tuesday would be advantageous for us. I know that these changes do cause supporters some issues and that ideally we’d like to keep every game as planned but on looking at the balance of games, we feel (myself and the manager) that a move suits Motherwell in terms of recovery time, potential injuries etc. This is the reason we decided to make the change and if we did not believe that it was advantageous for the team to play a day earlier then I would not have entertained it. I hope this helps in terms of an explanation of events and I am sorry that you now won’t make the match." So basically Im sorry you wont make the match but we dont think of fans first????

Voted Higdon, but thought Hutchinson done well. This MOTM aint really a discussion in truth.

Bizarre game, Should always be happy with 3 points and pretty much am. Don't think though that most will be fooled into thinking that was a good performance. Infact I personally thought that was shocking at times. Distribution from the back was poor, We couldn't keep hold of the ball for more than a few passes. Thankfully St. Johnstone squandered umpteen chances and we took the few chances that came big Higgys way. good on him. If we're not able to complete a few passes as was the case today, it wouldn't bother me if we went long more often. We just seemed to be camped in our own half for far too long today and in truth our defence is just not good enough to play like that.

Agree with every word you've written. For what its worth when Ive met him he came across as a top bloke, and in my opinion a very very good footballer. Would be ridiculous if we managed a signing like him and folk were on his case straight away.

Thing to remember is every team in the spl (celtic apart) are just as capable of winning or losing pretty much every game. I dont think we are far off a decent team. The defence is crying out for someone experienced, one of those faces you see at the back year after year after year. Same kinda required in midfield. Experienced no nonsense, not scared to get the boot in type. Up front it can be good but can be frustrating at times also. Dont think many other spl fans would think differently about their teams also. On our budget though, we are punching above our weight, lets remember that folks

Or 5 quid in the other stands but £10 for away kids... Scottish football encouraging the kids..eh??

A mad thread in my opinion.. Just a quick question to those wanting McCall out- What exactly are your expectations? Just remember 3rd in league, out cups (grimly granted) to Rangers and Aberdeen, both have bigger playing budgets than ours so... What exactly are your expectations?

Thoroughly enjoyed that today. Agree pretty much with most the previous comments. We dominated huge chunks of that game, nothing we could do about their first, and scoring 3 goals is always good. No real stand outs for me, suppose Hollis for saves at end and the boys for taking their chances. As said before what was Hateley playing at giving away that corner??? They always looked dangerous from corners. The one thing I would say is we have a huge chunk of our fans whom I dont think could ever be pleased. Moan about everything McCall does, normally moaning about lack of sub activity. Today its 2-2 and changes are made and folk are moaning their faces off about it, and guess what....3-2 We are not an enormous club. We are in 3rd place. Lets get behind the manager and players. No ones perfect. Cracking day though. Cant wait for Tuesday

I'd be disappointed if we didn't take 3 points on Saturday. Not fussed if its a scrappy 1-0 or something far more comfortable. I think we'll win 2-1 though
-
Well done, delighted with that. Looking fwd to reading comments from those at the game. 3 away points not to be sniffed at....

Was a bit 50/50 on the Randolph incident at the game and just seen it on sky and I am not anymore convinced it was deliberate. Think it will boil down to only him knowing if he meant it or not..Did he have enough time to get ball cleanly and deliberately kick him? Not the best of games, but a points not the end of the world. Again some alright performances- Hutchinson& Cummins looked fairly comfortable, thought Humphrey when he got the first touch right was probably our most dangerous player. Sometimes the touch goes missing though.. Hately I thought was shockingly bad in spells today, his passing was basically hopeless. Our biggest problem seems to be the lack of options/managerial confidence in those on the bench. Today seemed to be a day where a change last 10 mins might win it but hey what do I know.. Need to play better at United thats for sure

:wallbash: Just checked exact age... Dont ask

Cant believe after a 5-1 away win we are using the game as a source to criticise a youngster who scored. The boys clearly not gonna be Messi but we have to keep in mind he is a boy and will be learning (hopefully) all the time. Few youngsters dont have a shocker now and again and as someone said hes never really had a run. Anyway was stunned by how good we were yesterday, buzzing for the Hearts game now. Thought everyone was exceptional, work rate was good. Most pleasing for me was Ojamma getting that first goal.. Hurry up Saturday

Can only speak for myself, I'd be interested in a bus to games leaving from larkhall, however dont drink in Larkhall or go on facebook so totally unaware of it before now. The other issue is the time supporters buses leave. I'd be bringing my son so turning up at places with hours to kill always seem unappealling. Having the tie in December will be a killer for folk, for me Santa comes first I'm afraid
