    Canterbury

Mine came off and I just left it off. You can still see it a wee bit if you look for it but, to be honest, I prefer it without it so I'm not complaining. Although I am getting a bit bored of folk asking me if I had it removed because I'm morally opposed to gambling! Also, I've dealt with Provan Sports plenty of times over the years, both for myself and FPC, and I've been very happy with the service and quality. As for Canterbury, I'm happy enough to put it down to a bad batch of home tops as I've bought a few other Canterbury items from the 'Well Shop and they've always been good quality.
  2. I think I'm glad I can't get that link to work...
  3. I'm not buying that, I'm afraid. If they were kept in, it certainly wasn't for any significant length of time. When you compare that to how long we're kept back at their midden, it doesn't stack up. I'm not having a go at Motherwell, by the way, as I'm pretty sure that would be a police decision anyway. The length of time they are kept in the Main Stand should be determined by the 'Well fans who go to the Centenary for post-match drinks. When they're all in the Suite, let the h**s out. Then, of course, send someone up to sterilise the areas they've been sitting in.
  4. I think we did a bit of both, to be fair.
  5. I sit in Section B (wank, wank, wank) of the East Stand, right at the back, so have barely no distance to walk before I'm out the ground, and I was walking past h**s going in the opposite direction before I'd even got the the Cooper Stand. No way they got held back. Mere lip service.
  6. I think if we manage to not lose next week, then we will have enough of a spring in our step to beat Hibs and Falkirk at Fir Park and, as others have said, that would be tremendous and possibly the best first seven games we've ever had!
  7. Naw, I mean for the strip Rickoza was talking about - the pyjama number from the mid nineties.
  8. To be honest, I'd probably bring Craigan back for saturday, purely because Dundee Utd have a team full of big beasts. I'd also think about starting Sutton and the big Pole to play them at their own game before unleashing McHugh for the last 15 minutes or so. Murphy is probably the only Motherwell player to disappoint over the last few games and I think he'd benefit from a rest.
  9. The question of back three is an interesting one, that I hadn't thought of until now. As much as I like Craigan, he's clearly the least mobile of our centre-backs, and therefor probably the least capable of playing in a back three. Would be interesting to see a back three of Reynolds, Hutchison and Saunders (L-R) spread out with Hammell and the French boy as wingbacks. Forbes and Coke in midfield with O'Brien behind the strikers. Would be good to do that against someone pish and demolish them.

    Season Ticket

I don't imagine that will be a problem, but doubt you'd get the difference in cash back!
  11. I thought the shorts for that away kit were white anyway?
  12. Superb news. Just as good, if not better, than Forbes. I'm delighted by that.
  13. While I take the point Tweed is making, I don't think you get rugby fans as scummy as Old Firm fans. I also think that, if it wasn't for the Old Firm, most Motherwell matches would pass without incident if there was no segregation. Not so sure about Hearts-Hibs, etc though.
  14. MEMORY SPARKED! See the one on there that is from 1913-1924? We wore a kit in that design, except it was petrol blue instead of claret - I'm quite sure of it. I'll go source-hunting and return later...
  15. Although probably a bad idea to produce a strip in a particular colour on my say-so as nobody else seems to know what I'm on about! This leads me to suspect I may have made this up...
  16. I dunno - you're much older than me... I could, of course, be wrong, but I always thought that both Glencairn and wee Alpha played in "petrol blue" and white (I'm not even sure what petrol blue is, but I assume it to be a darker shade) and the first proper Motherwell strip kept the petrol blue, but added gold detail to symbolise the imalgamtion. Could be miles out though! I do think we played in a more royal blue after that, but I don't think they were the original colours. For what it's worth, I thought the royal blue and white mock-ups looked decent - the only reason I wouldn't be too keen would be from a marketting point of view. Being the same colour as the h**s, I reckon that could stop a lot of folk from buying it.
  17. The one the opposite of that (blue with a white sash) is framed and up on the wall in the kitchen of one of the FPC players houses. Doesn't look that bad, but certainly isn't my cup of tea. Would be more in favour of going back to the traditional colours for an away strip in the centenary year of claret and amber, as long as it was the proper ones (ie, petrol blue and gold) rather than royal blue and white that Xara mocked up.
  18. I think I'll hold off on the feedback before I buy it - the Jaxx on my home top is now totally gone. Don't get me wrong - I think it looks better, but I think it would make the away strip look worse so I'll delay my decision until about a month after it's released.

    Supporters Trust?

I will supply the fake moustache, trenchcoat and trilby if you fancy it?

    Supporters Trust?

I doubt the meeting took place.
  21. I don't dislike Reynolds. He is an honest enough lad who tries his best, but given the level of ability he has, he should count himself lucky to be in our starting XI. For me, both Craigan and Hutchison are better centre halves, so if I was the manager Reynolds' best chance of playing would be at left back or in the defensive midfield role. It's pretty obvious that you need different attributes to play in different positions, and to be centre half, in my opinion, you need to be able to mark, tackle and be positionally aware. Reynolds has none of these qualities. His main attributes are his pace, fitness and passing, and that's why I believe he'd be better served elsewhere on the park. However, regardless of position, I don't think he's good enough to make a significant step up and that's why we should've taken Rangers' arm off.
  22. Welladad, I am seriously wonderring if you are Mark Reynolds' dad. Your comments are borderline delusional. Reynolds is nothing better than a decent SPL defender, and if he wasn't quick he wouldn't even be that. Some of the mistakes he has made make Craigan look like Franco Baresi and you're comparing him to Joe Wark?!?! You must be mental. I said at the time, and I re-iterate it now, turning down the offer from the h**s for him was a HUGE mistake.
