The thing is, if it is Dean Windass, that would explain Craggs being on the way out. Windass could be the new captain, and a natural successor once Gannon inevitably moves on to bigger and better things like Aberdeen.
I thought he was just playing for them. I'd take him on a short-term deal. We need a bit of physical presence and he's scored goals everywhere he's went. A bit of experience in the squad wouldn't go amiss either.
We'll be fine with Kyle. First ball that comes into the box, big Ruddy should be sent out to damage him - no ref will give a 'nalty or send a keeper off in that scenario. We'll probably even get the foul.
Is it my imagination, or did they not lose the final to Livi?
Unless I missed something, Murdo McLeod was bossing the midfield for Hibs the last time they won anything!
Everton paid £1.25m for McFadden, and £1m for this guy. That means he's 4/5s as good as McFadden.
That being the case, he'll easily be the best player we've had since...erm...McFadden!
I saw Stuart Elliott in the club shop today. He arrived just after it had closed as he didn't know the times. Freddy Dindeleux printed off a copy of them for him to take away.
Can't believe I forgot that one. That goal celebration is on a par with the ET winner at Easter Road. Absolute bedlam. The replay was the damp squib that we've become accustommed to, with Brian Welsh scoring the only goal.
Now I feel stupid for forgetting Skippy Sunday!
Also, we scored twice in the last five (ish) minutes at East End Park to turn a 1-0 defeat into a 2-1 win. I think Townsley and an Adams 'nalty were the goals.
Kaiser scored a well-deserved one at Fir Park once, think it was against Hearts.
Also, Kevin McBride at Almondvale on hogmanay one year got the party started early.
That's the first two that spring to mind but there's millions more.
Purely speculation, but given that Man City have brought in half a dozen big-money, high-profile forwards, maybe their own young strikers will be going out on loan?
Having said that, after a quick google search, I can't seem to find any!
I was standing beside him at yon Sponsors night thing last weekend and I'd say he's the best part of six inches smaller than me. He's not about to be offerred a job in a chocolate factory, but he is pretty small.
