I don't think that's fair. There is no reason why the quality should be compromised because of a hoop. FirParkCorner used to wear strips identical to the MFC Pony ones that had a hoop, and they took an absolute batterring over a good few seasons, and they're still in decent condition. Just a coincidence that there has been problems the season the hoop has returned in my opinion.

I hope it's true. But strongly doubt it.

I think the problem for some people is that 'Flow was a regular poster on here (and owner of WTFC.net before that) and was generally right in the middle of everything that was being organised (the WTFC team, running buses to the Masters, etc) so he built up a good personal relationship with a lot of the posters on here. As a result, I think people expect themselves to be privvy to any information that 'Flow has, and expect to be told everything that goes on. Realistically, that's not going to happen and the assumption that it can is unfair. You're basically asking a guy to risk his livlihood so that we can gossip and speculate over tit-bits of largely pointless information. Give it a rest, folks.

I thought they were more into the brown, no?

I'm thinking 3-1 to the Dossers, with the visitors scoring first. I also expect Darren Smith to be amongst the goals.

Jim Gannon! Jim Gannon! Wee John Boyle is nothing to be scared of! Don't you ever! Don't you ever! Don't let him ride you if he tells you that you're handsome.

Are you a Sky cameraman?

Nah, fuck him. It's understandable that we only offerred him one year as he was constantly injured and we never got value for money out of him in the time that he was here. I think we deserved for him to show us some loyalty but, as with most footballers, he didn't. I re-iterate... fuck him.

16 folk from Kilncadzow?? Is that not everyone? Who's going to make the huge bridies, etc, while youse are away?

I wouldn't disagree with that, but maybe - just maybe - Sutton and Jamie Murphy can get the best out of each other. A big lump of a boy that puts himself about and wins headers plus a wee nippy, skillful guy? That combination has worked before. I'd at least give the two of them a few games to develop a partnership, and then it could be a case of looking for a striker to come off the bench, rather than looking for one to partner Sutton or Murphy. And obviously that would mean saving money which could be spent elsewhere.

Paul Ince is an ex-premiership manager. Would you want him? I'd rather have a good up-and-coming manager with a bit of lower league experience in England (relative to the size of club and standard of football he'll get at Fir Park) than have someone who got a couple of jobs in coaching/management because he was a good player and made a total mess of them. The fact that Staunton even got an interview should have been keeping us all awake at night. Let's get behind the new man - he seems like a good guy and I like the cut of his gib.

It was wet and baltic, but it was brilliant!

I'm not entirely decided on this either, but I suppose if I was pushed I would say it should be retired. Yes, it's true we don't want to set a precedent of this, but given that he died wearing the shirt, I think 'Well fans will always think of Phil O'Donnell when they think of the number ten shirt. I don't think there's another person so synominous with a particular jersey in the whole history of our club, though there have been a number of players as gifted/loyal as Phil. I also think that had it been any other player who died that day, we wouldn't be having this conversation, as two seperate generations of 'Well fans saw Uncle Phil make that jersey his own. With Clarkson now gone, retiring the jersey would be a fitting legacy in my opinion.

Who wants to restrain fatcalf? The answer is yes, by the way.

I sincerely hope the 'Well shop will be cashing in by charging an extra premium to put Yoofa badges on anything that isn't a 'Well top!

And order is restored! Excellent.

I would be very wary about asking on here how many people would buy one. That was a big part of our 'market research' ( ) for the Tam Cowan/Phil O'Donnell DVDs, and the actual amount sold was nowhere near the level of positive response we got on here. Hence, my loft is currently insulated with about 800 DVDs...

I don't think he's added anything to the thread there....

I resigned from the Trust a fortnight ago. Not going to go into the details on here, of course, but the fact that I resigned should give you an indication on my feelings on the 'health and progress' of the organisation.

I take your point but just from last season off the top of my head we had to buy away tickets from Fir Park for three games away to the Old Firm plus St Mirren x 2, Accies, Hibs, Inverurie and Nancy. As I say that's just off the top of my head so there could be more. Those nine games would provide a fair average for the people who are likely to travel, and would be a fairer system, in my opinion, than having a ballot for season ticket holders. You could easily end up that the majority of the 300 names pulled out haven't been to an away game in the SPL for years if it was just an ST ballot. Edit - I also understand that when demand outstrips supply people who deserve to go will miss out however it's done, but it should be as fair as possible. To my mind a guy who spends £250 a year on the club and never leaves Motherwell doesn't deserve a ticket as much as another guy who goes everywhere, buys all the merchandise, etc etc.
-
They should have a record of who has bought tickets for games and other club events, bought strips, etc etc, but I'm sure they don't. If they did have a points system of sorts in place then it would even give people an incentive to go to the less glamourous things. Every little helps afterall.

Fixed it for you there, Malky...

Erm...I am worried about that! Just not as much as I'm worried about a load of other things at the moment! With all due respect to goalkeepers, changing that position doesn't, in my opinion, have anywhere near as big an impact on the team and how they play as removing both first-choice centre mids, but it is still a tad concerning.
-
What about the people who went to Nancy and Inverurie and are going to Albania? In all seriousness, there should be some way of making sure the tickets fall into the hands of the people who spend a huge chunk of their time and money travelling all over the place to support the team, rather than just dishing them out to folk who fancy a one-off jaunt to Wales for novelty value.
