I know Milo is generally a prophet of doom, but have I missed what he's said that's causing such mock outrage here? You are quoting "opinion" to justify projecting your own thoughts then criticising others for doing the same. Some people think we'll stay up, others (myself included) think we're done. None of us are revelling in it. It does seem like there is a wee crew of posters happy to round on anyone with a negative attitude with their "holier than thou" pish. How you can expect to come on a fans forum of a team that's clocked up 20 league defeats marooned in 11th and not see negativity is beyond me.

That was nothing to do with him or his contract though. You can almost state as fact that we wouldn't have finished second without him, and if we could have negotiated our way past a pub team over two legs we would have had a five figure crowd and TV money from a Lech Poznan tie and possibly Inter Milan, which would have more than justified his extension.

I know so. It's rife on here that a wee story that nobody else is aware of is hinted at and exaggerated to create a wee stir and make a poster feel important. If someone knows something that isn't public knowledge, they should either spill the beans entirely or respect their source and keep quiet- no irritating middle ground. I will choose to respect my source but for the avoidance of doubt nobody is dead and I'd say it's unlikely anyone will get the jail, guilty or not.

Football is all about opinions, and that's one of the things I love about it and what keeps forums like this going, but I just can't understand why on earth a non-trying wage thief with the odd silky touch would have a higher standing with any supporters than a guy who has captained us to higher league finishes than anyone else has in the last 50 years and would run through brick walls for Motherwell. Yes, he's lost a yard of pace and has had a poor season by his own standards but to suggest we'd be better of with Vigurs just makes me despair.

Anyone else noticed that we already had a right winger who was in double figures for both goals and assists last season, a left winger who is supposedly the best thing since sliced bread, then the new manager comes in and signs three further wingers but plays our young strikers on the wings? Baffling.

McManus has been stealing a wage since the first minute he walked in the door. Straker is very possibly in my worst ever Motherwell XI already and Laing looks like an absolute brain-dead lump of shite. I think that's about as bad as Lasley has ever played for us but he, along with Sutton and Ramsden, have been rotten all season despite their efforts last term. Kerr must be spewing that he's on the bench again today and the Dom Thomas mystery rumbles on. Zero positives from today whatsoever.
