I'm not agreeing with the previous poster but Dan has made a significant number of absolute howlers- goalkeeper is definitely a weak area in the squad. Having said that, I'm well aware there are several of them!

This is getting seriously tedious. How anyone could watch Twardzik drop a simple cross (again), O'Brien score a ridiculous OG and a bunch of other over-paid non-triers disgrace our jersey (again!) and decide to leap on here and have a pop at a guy whose job description none of us know anything about really is beggars belief. I can guarantee 'Flow will be on a lesser salary than arseholes like McManus and Vigurs and will have contributed more to our club than the two of them put together.

That's a very harsh assessment of Carswell for me. I would persevere with him for now (and Leitch when fit) ahead of more expensive and less motivated imposters like Iain Vigurs. I have a degree of sympathy for Lawson but sympathy doesn't pay the bills and I'd be letting him go as well, purely on the basis that we can't be carrying passengers on our budget.

The only part I'd disagree with would be Josh Law, who has impressed me more with every passing game since McCall left. Having said that, if you'd asked me a month or two ago I'd have fired him from a cannon.

I asked this in the other thread about John Porteous, but how do we know exactly what 'Flows job involves or how good he is at it? He has a log-in for this site, so maybe he should come on here and have a pop at us for being shite at our jobs because he's every bit as qualified to do that as we are to have a go at him.

This is going to be like watching two drunk guys chasing a balloon. Could be entertaining!

AstroTurf is not the answer. We're right to look on enviously at Accies at the minute, but that's not the part of their business model we should be looking to replicate. Tearing ourselves away from two-year deals as standard while bending over and accepting almost every paltry offer for our players would be a start, and our reliance on this hand-to-mouth policy during our recent good spell has gradually chipped away at our chance of sustaining it, and is (in my opinion) the single most significant reason we find ourselves in our current predicament.
