  1. I am not sure where the unknown opposition points comes into play. I have seen the list of possible opponents and they all rank fairly evenly to me. Sorry to be harsh, but if there is genuinely any fans who won't attend at £25 that would have at £20 then I would have to question how much they would be worth to the club in the future anyway. If a person wanted to go badly enough, they'd find a fiver from somewhere at six weeks notice.
  2. You've not even gone close to answering my question, or addressing my point. Of course £20 would be better for us to pay. £10 would be better still, etc etc However, the club has to try to maximise every revenue stream available. If 'Flow had a guarantee that Fir Park would be a sell out if he made it a tenner a ticket, I reckon he'd do it. However, history would tell us that the difference in attendance between charging £20 and £25 would be minimal, so what you're asking the club to do is kiss goodbye to thousands of pounds to get a tiny handful of extra bums on seats. It's just not feasible.
  3. They will both come back to haunt us, because that's what "always" happens, especially if it's live on TV, is in front of a big 'Well support or the team they're playing for needs a win.
  4. See all of these geniuses that reckon it should be £20 instead of £25, do you also reckon that doing so would add 20% more folk to the attendance? I'm certain it wouldn't, therefor agree entirely with the clubs pricing structure.
  5. While I'm not complaining, the contracts that have been signed were safe bets already. If Ainsworth puts pen to paper I will be impressed- I've given up on Hurchinson.
  6. Haha! Love it! Great news, and a great tagline.
  7. "The captain has signed up again....now it's YOUR turn." Predictable, but I'm absolutely ok with it.
  8. I think the difficulty on the Murray situation is that the development fee would be based on the contract he is offered, so the bigger the contract we offer, the bigger thee we receive. However, the flip side to that is the bigger the contract we offer, the more likely he is to sign it.
  9. And these two diddies would displace who from our team currently? I'd be stunned if McCall had even considered either of them.
  10. I am making the conscious decision not to watch that. 427 1-2s the full length of the park. Wondergoal.
  11. I was fairly convinced at the time that Vigurs' goal up at Inverness was one of the best I'd ever seen.
  12. If we could play Hertha Berlin away on June 20th, that would be grand....

This, but without Albion Rovers. *shudders*

The strategy should be to win.
  15. If you had to remove everyone who tried to provoke a reaction the site would be stone cold dead.

    Board Statement

Was at least £2k last year but that's by the by. It's just one of many smaller revenue streams that have been missed out on by nothing other than incompetence. As someone alluded to in another post, I'd like to know exactly where my money goes when I put it into the various avenues of the overall business. I personally contribute to the 'Well Society, the 'Well Lotto, ticket money, pie stall, programmes, club shop, bars/functions, Community Trust, etc etc and I would re-evaluate how much I put to each place if I thought Stuart McCall would benefit from it. This "one pot" patter is a load of pish and I couldn't care less about the stationery budget or 'Flow getting a Lazyboy in his new office.
  17. I reckon a few guys will already have agreed and/or signed contracts for next season about announcements will be staggered to help PR and selling season tickets. Or maybe just to stop this forum going into utter meltdown like it always does if we go a couple of weeks without news.
  18. Come on guys- I know it's pre-season and there's not a lot to talk about on here but give this a rest. I would imagine it makes most normal people uncomfortable. Our beloved fatcalf is championing his new "Daft Laddie" brand at the moment and it's a shame to come on here to see someone who fits that description being slaughtered on a daily basis by guys who are (or should be) older and wiser. I'm in no way defending some of the things that makaveli has said or done but at the end of the day he's a young 'Well fan and is entitled to post his own brand of shite on here as we all do so cut him some slack (or ignore him) and move on. Sorry to drag this off topic, but has anyone came or went at Fir Park that I've not heard yet?
  19. The club have today sold the sponsorship for Ainsworth for next season. Surely a sign that he's staying?!?!
  20. Marc Fitzpatrick anyone?
  21. You're absolutely right. I seem to recall that we weren't going to get a full season out of Lasley and that Sutton was a bad signing too. Sometimes the guy in the dugout knows best. This is one of those times.
