  1. Tenner a ticket for a race night? Ouch.
  2. It is trolling but it doesn't mean that he doesn't have a point. We do tend to choke in big games, especially when we get a big crowd inside Fir Park. I'd probably be even more harsh than MJC and throw Nancy and Odense home games into the pot as evidence. However, as someone else pointed out we have had to pull a couple of big performances out of the hat over the past few seasons at Fir Park to qualify for Europe and it can happen again. This game really could go either way but I'm going to keep the faith and go with both teams to score and a home win.
  3. I agree 100% about Lawson. On McHugh, time's up. I like the guy and would like to have seen him do well for us but it's not going to happen. We have two first team strikers who have built a decent partnership and chipped in with a few goals plus two hotter prospects to bring through so there's no place for Bob I'm afraid. And that's before even mentioning the possibility of Faddy getting fit. I imagine he'll sign for someone like Airdrie or Dumbarton and score double figures every season and good luck to him,
  4. Looking forward to seeing it. Oan yersel' lads.
  5. The jury is still out on Lawson for me, partly because we've not seen as much of him as I would have expected by now due to the brilliant early season form of Carswell, but I'm hearing a lot of the same "he never wastes a pass" chat that I heard about Bob Malcolm, and he is certainly not the benchmark for a Motherwell central midfielder.
  6. I hope that doesn't mean Fraser Wright won't play. He's always good for an ogger.
  7. Did someone not say Faddy had torn his hamstring? If that's the case, surely he's our of the reckoning for a while?
  8. Anytime the 'Well are on ALBA I always record it and watch the half-time feature back - it's far better than anything the mainstream media produce for us wee teams.
  9. I'm a bit disappointed that it's still £22 a ticket when it's live on cooncil TV. I reckon this could be approaching a Gretna-esque attendance figure. Reasonably confident of an away win though. It's certainly not beyond us.
  10. I'm more likely to give the Hibs game at home a miss than the St Johnstone game away through convenience/preference.
  11. Realistically it only has to persuade about a dozen extra to turn up and it's paid for itself.
  12. Weir did play until a good age but he spent a good few years at Everton so reckon he's out of the running.
  13. I agree. Happy for him but it's similar to Garry Kenneth getting the nod when Peter Houston was involved in the Scotland set-up.
  14. I understand the point you're making but my advice would be to stop doing it then.
  15. Closest I can remember to that was 4-5 v Dundee Utd at Fir Park.
  16. Oops- thought we were just two point behind! My bad.
  17. You seem a very angry man. I don't know anything either. Macron might be alright- some good and bad designs from them from what I've seen.
  18. I think a narrow, energy and morale-sapping defeat is the best result we could have hoped for from last night. Here's hoping we're top of the league by the time Casualty comes on on Saturday night.
  19. I don't think it would be fair to drop anyone from a winning team. Faddy played the first half which, technically, we lost 1-0.
  20. I'll happily bet that Macron aren't making our strips next season. £50 donation to the 'Well Society seem reasonable?
  21. As well as my blessing I can also offer you some friendly advice: Go to the pictures or round the shops the next time the 'Well game is on - you can still come home and vote for Hollis but you'll have saved yourself some money on going to a game you don't watch anyway.
