That must be why I don't like the cunt!
  2. I know there's no such thing as a bogey team really, but there are times when a team or opposing managers has "got your number" and that was St Mirren with us for a while there. However, as someone else said, styles change and I'm expecting an away win.

That's right! He was asked to leave the stadium. Can't mind who it was, but he was a devilishly handsome chap. On another point, a clear indicator of how badly things were going for him in terms of the support was that we were housed upstairs that day instead of downstairs even though there was only one man and his dog there.

I thought he stayed to the end but my therapist has also helped block out a lot of that season!

You could be right then. Did he get hunted before the end of the season perhaps? 36/38 is the full league campaign that year.

I think you've divided Malpas' numbers the wrong way around- 36 from 38 is an average of 0.95 points per game.

I also find that hard to believe. I'm sure the Malpas season is the only one since we finished bottom that we averaged less than a point per game (36 from 38 IIRC) and I can't remember Gannons tenure having been that grim.

I couldn't agree more with your second paragraph but there was undoubtedly more to his downfall than a month of bad results. His tenure was the biggest period of unrest at the club since administration and no Motherwell manager in history has ever got their jotters for a bad month on the park. I'm not a Gannon hater at all by the way- I tip my hat to what he done for us in certain respects - but we are stronger now because he came in when he did but also because he left when he did.

Yep, happy enough with that summary. He had to find us a pile of players in the same way as Kampman had to get rid of a pile of players. Both done that job but both failed to move on from there.

My auntie Bethel would have left a better team than he inherited, given that there was practically no team to speak of when he arrived!
  11. Haha! I did indeed mate, and why not?! Couldn't do it every week right enough...
  12. We were in hospitality last weekend and booze was served at half time in the Centenary.
  13. I'd pay a fiver for a pint at half time if it was done in-house (ie, the cash goes to MFC). Otherwise, I probably wouldn't bother. As Melvin says, folk can manage a couple of hours without a drink and I'm in JDs until five to three and back there before five so I'll not be dancing in the street if this is passed.

Is there seriously a split in the 'Well fans on the "Gannon v Craigan" situation? Anyone on the side of Gannon needs to take a long look at themselves in the mirror.
  15. I think the logic is that "fat" folk are more likely to be self-conscious about going to a gym, etc so would be more comfortable going to a group with people similar to them. Folk like fatcalf can turn out for FPC to keep fit.
  16. I have Lee Erwings home top in the house from last season and didn't notice any difference.
  17. Care to go into more detail? I'm quite sad that way.
  18. What a magnificent day that was. My top still has the stains from my post-match Klinsmann.
  19. If he turns out to be another Omar, I'm going to get MESSY (with a Y) and 25 on the back of my 'Well top.
  20. Exactly. As it is just now, the only teams who get into the latter stages and earn millions are the clubs that already have millions. By its very design it keeps the rich rich and the poor poor, which isn't very sporting as far as I'm concerned.
  21. Would rather not get Thistle as we'll be going there in December and we just played them. Away tie please.
  22. That's fine if we're playing in a bowling alley.
