  1. I could never take to him, and never rated him. I suspect I may vocalise this in an entirely unconstructive manner at Rugby Park this season.
  2. Our best team couldn't beat them at Fir Park so you can forgive me for doubting that they'll get a result behind the Iron Curtain! Having said that, if I was going I would probably be saying the same as you.
  3. I'd bring in Anier for Sutton, Carswell for Lawson and Angol for Vigurs. If we're completely out of the tie at half time I'd be getting Cummings on for McManus and Erwing on for Faddy.
  4. You boys are on fire today!
  5. That's the line-up I suggested earlier in this thread.
  6. I'd settle for that, but I'd probably put Vigurs where you have ZFA and bring in Carswell to give us a more solid centre.
  7. If I hear Hollis is starting I genuinely may not leave the pub.
  8. In fact, I think Fir Park has possibly seen its last ever five-figure attendance unless one of the Old Firm have the chance to win the league there again.
  9. Maybe Swansea as they would have potentially brought a significant away support, but I don't think for a second we'd have touched 10k for Sevilla or anyone else for that matter.
  10. This must have passed me by. Where is he off to?
  11. That's near the top of my "Favourite Ever Post" list.
  12. I was in total agreement with you there up until the Hollis part. I just don't rate him at all, but we've had more 'keepers worse than woods than we've had better in the last 20 years.
  13. I was given the impression that he only really travelled to Morecambe to make up the numbers.
  14. I agree to an extent, but there are non-Motherwell players that I like and was pleased to see Higgy score today, so I reserve the right to feel the opposite about non-Motherwell players I particularly dislike. Law falls into that category.

    New Away Kit

Having seen the away kit in a game situation last night, I like it even less. It reminds me of that friendly up at Brechin where we just fired ABR Roofing hastily onto a training top.
  16. There's club employees calling in favours all over the place right now....
  17. We'll just need to beat them and get a better jaunt a fortnight later then!
  18. Does that say Davie Tonner?! A failed commercial manager counts as a legend these days?!
  19. Maybe that's because we're a bit spoiled by having seen the likes of Panathinaikos, Dortmund, Levante and Steaua Bucharest in competitive games in recent years. Bournemouth can only dream of that.
  20. This is a different debate for a different day, but I actually disagree with that. Folk bringing their wives, mums, grannies and every other Tom, Dick and Harry to the Cup Final (for example) does my box in because: A) They'll never be back to a normal game. B) They don't appreciate the significance of the occasion. C) They dilute the atmosphere. I'd rather have had half the number of fans at Hampden at 2011 if I'm honest.
  21. If Motherwell charged £50 a skull for the Kuban game, I'd probably pay it (grudgingly) and if 13,741 others did the same I would be delighted. I think fans complaining about ticket prices are justified. They only become hypocritical when they laud the signings of McFadden, McManus, etc
  22. The important question is: how many folk turned up? If it was anywhere near full then they clearly did the right thing.
