I just hope you all manage to get on ok with your kilts on.

I know Brewers Fayres aren't the best but this is probably as decent a one as I've been in. The bar at the stadium (Belle Vue Bar) won't let away fans in and the beer inside the stadium won't be the best. Pubs in the town centre are great but not ideal for getting to the stadium. I'd rather just stumble along the road at 2:50 than have to leave the boozer early to find a taxi. Plenty of time for town centre drinking afterwards.

Brewers Fayre before the match would be my suggestion folks. Nearest pub to the ground and I can tell you from past experience that away fans get in with colours on no problem. We'll be there from opening...

To be honest, you can wrap it up in whatever packaging you like- what 'Well Society members are essentially doing is making a donation. The benefits don't, and shouldn't, come close to being worth the money (the only satisfaction I've had for my £350 to date is ticking a wee "No" box on a bit of paper) so it's unfair to make guys who haven't signed up feel guilty, especially during this charmed existence of having European trips to pay for every year during a recession.

That might have been a bad example, but I certainly wouldn't mind a wee jaunt to Switzerland on expenses to get a unique view of Motherwell being pulled out of the hat for a European game.

I think you're probably right (especially the part where you backed me for great chieftan o' the puddin' race) but I think it's probably natural that when the folk involved get the perks of the job, such as a jolly to Switzerland, then the rest of us are a bit jealous. I personally didn't put myself forward because I felt that the fans as a whole had become disillusioned with the Trust over a number of years and felt it would be better if the fans representatives didn't have any ties there so that they wouldn't be pre-judged. Obviously that theory hasn't really worked as GrahamB has been roundly slaughtered since he stepped in. On one level I can understand it, but on the other hand I think that since he's in the job we should give him a chance to prove he's up to the job. If he proves he isn't, then there is a diplomatic process that can have him removed, but the Society as a whole is suffering from the negative vibes that are surrounding his appointment and that's what is most disappointing as it is potentially a very important organisation in the future of our football club.

I'm clearly bored with no football happening just now, but this thought occurred to me: Fraser Kerr spent six years with 'Well, coming through the youths before moving to Brum. He then came back on loan for an initial six months, which was extended to a year, and now he's signed a two-year deal. Does that mean if he gets to the end of his contract with us he will be just one year off a testimonial? I realise the answer is probably "no" but is that because the youth bit doesn't count, the loan period doesn't count, or both?

That's my thoughts. I haven't seen any kids/teenagers in the 125th anniversary kit despite it being brilliant.

I like it but I doubt the club would go for it as it wouldn't sell to the kids.

I'd be annoyed if anyone who hasn't signed a contract gets on the plane.

I also think he's worth keeping on at teenagers wages but if he's to be the starting right back next season, I'll need more assurance than a couple of games last August to convince me.
