  1. Sadly, you're right. And you're on a decent run. Could well be a good game actually.
  2. That's better news than the victory today!

I think it's a bad sad if largely anonymous opinions on a website affect you so much. Win, lose or draw I have continued to be Stuart McCall, but some players I rate higher than others. That has always been true and always will be, but a victory papers over almost all cracks. I would rather we all just enjoyed it for what it is. Winning today doesn't make us magnificent, just as losing at St Mirren on Friday didn't make us shite. We always have been and always will be somewhere in the middle.
  5. One thread at a time I think! I've replied in the other one!

That's a much fairer summation of the situation, but I think that's the fickle nature of football fans. What I think you're doing is muddying the waters between having a negative opinion of some players with actually wanting them to fail. I can absolutely assure you in no uncertain terms that while Tom Hateley is a Motherwell player I will want him to win every tackle, find a man with every cross and score every freekick but my opinion is unlikely to change on him. Basking in the glory of a win and good performance is fine- I do it myself- but to gloat over fellow 'Well fans is just pointless and irritating because we all want the same thing.
  7. Call it what you like, but it's a high horse.

I normally respect your points on here SteveDiggle but you're coming across as a complete knob on what should be an entirely positive day.
  9. Have to agree with Psycho1991 here. I am absolutely overjoyed by the game today but to come on here and see that some folks first thoughts is to jump on their high horse to take the piss out of other fans who have previously had the cheek to criticise is a bit disappointing. I thought Hsteley had some good touches today and obviously scored but I still don't think he had a great game and his dead balls were still, on the whole, absolutely crap. Having said that, today is a day to be positive and I for one won't be drawn into another pointless, daft discussion about whether we should clap and cheer for 90 minutes, bitch and moan for 90 minutes or be somewhere in the middle. It's not important. It's Christmas, we're joint second and life is good. Mon the 'Well.

I thought Hutchison was superb in the first half but he can't get the vote because Aberdeen barely attacked in the second half. Ojamaa was excellent but I'm going to go for ZFA. Great performance and its great for the team that we can go with Hammell and Humphrey and still romp to victory.
  11. I agree, but on the other hand would Carswell not develop more training with a player of Fergusons caliber every day? I'm not really on either side on this one as I haven't really seen him play for ages and am so certain it's a non-starter that I haven't bothered to look into it. I'm just playing devils advocate.

If you don't like being a Motherwell fan, fuck off and give the rest of us peace. You don't sign up for unwavering glory and sunshine when you put a claret and amber scarf round your neck.
  13. Say what you like about Thompson but he was the difference between the sides tonight. Two great strikers goals from him. I'm not saying he's better than Higdon but they played Higdon very well. Goodwin at centre-half was a master stroke from Lennon and I've never seen the big look so ineffective. McCall was out-thought tonight but I'm choosing to credit the St Mirren boss rather than call for our gaffers head. I just hope that lessons are learned. (PS- I know I say this after every game but it doesn't make it any less true: Hateley is absolutely shite, a complete non-trier and a waste of a jersey.)

    St Mirren

Going to go for McHugh because nobody else was ever going to score for us tonight.
  15. I'm hoping for double that.

You mean you don't? You must be racist then. Scum.
  17. Is it not the Scouse centre half who cometh on the burds?
  18. My East Stand ticket was a Cooper Stand ticket with a Sputh Stand sticker on it. That's just shit.
  19. Fairly sure that Hearts-Dundee Utd on Sunday is the SPL game on ESPN this weekend. Could be wrong though.
  20. That article has "Space Filler" written all over it. Pretty lazy in my opinion.
  21. I started this thread and I go to almost every game, home or away.
  22. Ferguson to replace Lasley maybe. To replace Law, Christ no.
  23. Sunday at 3:30 I think so that could be a go-er!
