Aye, and to give the likes of the O'Donnell family and any other special guests time for a wee meal in the Centenary before the game. I'd urge everyone to attend obviously, but I'd also suggest taking a wee wander round after the game because it will look 100 times better at night.

I think I've been punished enough without having to speak to Ian Wright...

"No idea" is my answer to both of those questions mate!

From my own personal view, my grudge actually lies with the stewards and match commander. The police were largely fine. After I had been ejected, the police were happy to let me walk away until the word came through on their radio from the match commander that I either had to be arrested or allowed to re-enter the match. I was perfectly calm and having a reasonable discussion with them so they were happy to let me re-enter the ground. When the head steward got wind of this, he went mental and refused to let me back in, so the police took the easy option and arrested me. I think it's ridiculous that a match commander would give the instruction to arrest or allow re-entry, as it's impossible for him to have known what had happened. It would've completely undermined the steward if I'd been allowed to re-enter the ground so I can understand why the police wouldn't do that, but to say I deserved to be arrested was ridiculous. As soon as the steward was back in the ground, the police were even saying that it was a waste of their time. As it was, I didn't even get put in a cell - I was taken to the station, processed, then they took me in their van, almost apologetically, and dropped me off in the city centre to watch the scores come through on Sky Sports News with a pint. I was obviously angry on a personal level because I felt I had been mistreated - I've no interest in debating that point with people on here because yes, I was standing up, etc so I know I broke the rules, but I'm also dismayed as a tax-payer by the resources that were wasted on me, and the number of times I can only imagine this happens up and down the country every saturday. The other point in my mind is that punishments are in place as a deterent to misbehave in the future, but the punishment I received has only deterred me from spending a small fortune and taking time off work to support my team the next time they play in Aberdeen, and that's not a good thing for anyone. I certainly won't be altering the way I behave at matches because of what happened up there.

Suffice to say I had a great day - apologies for the milky moobs putting you all off your Monday morning corn flakes!

The guy definitely lamped Leighton as I was in the Cooper Stand that night. He had one of those black pony jumpers with the big claret and amber Vs that I thought was the business at the time (cringe!).

It may be on elsewhere in the local area.

I'm not involved in the Trust anymore, but I'm pretty disappointed by the response to this. Both the Fans Forum Nights and the Sixes Tournaments have always been well-run and well-enjoyed events, yet every year they come round there's a vibe that folk aren't that interested. Anyone who has been before has always enjoyed it but then it dwindles for the following year. I'm looking forward to tonight and hope it gets the turnout that it deserves.

Sounds fine, but I'll only be impressed when something suggested by a fan actually gets implimented. Until then I remain unconvinced in the merits of these things, other than from a PR point of view. I hope I'm wrong though, and good luck to everyone involved. Sounds like a great idea in theory.

David Kelly was pretty decent for us. Apparently he twatted Eric Black on the beak aswell. Two things I remember (a bit hazily, possibly incorrectly) is a great dummy by him for Greg Strong to score into one of the Old Firm at Fir Park (can't mind which one, they're both the same to me) and I think it was him who played a part in a tremendously worked freekick at Pittodrie with Andy Dow scoring. As I said, those memories may be wrong but I definitely remember the guy. I also remember Keef from the boards being moist when he signed as he was a bit of a hero at Tranmere apparently.

So who'd we get then?

It's pretty obvious to me that Craigan would never let Northern Ireland down, and he's certainly not doing that by retiring. Maybe in his own mind he doesn't want this to be his last season for the 'Well, and he's trying to prolong his career by giving himself a break during the international fixtures. Absolutely nothing wrong with that in my opinion, and I hope that's what happens.

It's a wee bit annoying that most of us won't have the new top for going on holiday, and it's wee bit embarrassing as a 'Well fan that the strip isn't out before the season starts. But that's about it for us. It's Alan Provan who will ultimately lose out financially as a result, and will also cop the majority of the earache for it from disgruntled fans, so it's him I feel most sorry for. At the end of the day, it's only a T-shirt that most of us don't wear all that often, so there's no point in an OTT reaction about it. I honestly think that there is so much wailing and gnashing of teeth about it because there's no real football happening for folk to moan about.

Alright mate - I'm terrible with PMs. Think my inbox is full. You have 3 seats booked on my bus under the name of Steve Diggle and you'll get three wristbands to go with them, which gets you into the pub at night. Steve Diggle has my number if you need any other info. Cheers.

Tommy McLean on deciding to go for Davie Cooper: "I went to speak to Walter Smith on the Monday, not Souness because I've never liked that bastard..." Brilliant!

Should be a cracking night. I think tonight is the night where the excitement for May 20th is ramped up a notch!

I can understand both points of view here. On the one hand, I think it's a nice strip, and I agree with the logic that Alan has put forward that the strip should be representative of the 125-year period rather than of the first season 125 years ago. With that logic in mind, amber with a claret hoop is a must. On the other hand, I don't think the shirt is unique enough, if that makes sense. It's a bit too similar in design to at least one Toffs shirt I already own. Having said that, if the aim is to capture the history of MFC, it's a difficult job to not have it looking like a historic MFC shirt! I also think the record attendance is a bit random, and I'd rather the '125 years' was in claret thread., but now I'm just being picky! I will probably buy the shirt, but I imagine like a lot of people, at £45 I will probably be buying it instead of the next home top rather than aswell as it.

Can you get four Cup Final tickets with next years season ticket if you are paying it up, or do you need to splash the cash upfront?
-
Just to re-iterate, if there is any spares give me a shout! Desperately needing 3.

I'm running one of the buses from JDs. Got about ten seats left. Fiver a head if it's filled. Give me a call or text on 07920424590 if you're interested. Cheers.

The only option I didn't want was signing a new deal at 'Well. Murder. Polis.
-
You've obviously never sat near me at a game then!
-
Look back my posts over a number of years on here. Reynolds is fucking gash.
-
Couldn't agree more with pingu there. Give me a pish Motherwell-St Mirren under the floodlights in the rain with proper men playing proper football (albeit with a different result) ahead of the corporate Americanised bullshit that is the Premiership and Champions League anyday.

I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm with MJC but I'm certainly not far off his opinion. As far as I'm concerned, the Celtic game is a write-off, that's fine, but the three games in March will let me decide what camp I'm in. The absolute bare minimum I will accept is a win and two draws. Anything less and I'll be firmly in the 'McCall Out' camp. He hasn't been good enough, the team don't look motivated and are devoid of ideas or inspiration. And his 'forever in claret and amber' line makes me want to vomit. All that added to the fact I never liked him in the first place means I am losing patience fast.
