  1. I hope the strike does go ahead for two reasons: a) Sunday games are pish. b) The SFA need to realise that officials are far, far more important to our game than Celtic are. That is all I have to say on the matter.

    Ebay

Surely it would make more sense to run the auction through the official site, or even here? I would grudge bidding £100 (plus 7 p&p) knowing that about a tenner of it isn't getting to MFC. If the club ran it independantly then the option of picking it up at the ground could be included to save postage costs, plus there would be no admin fees. If admin and resources are the issue, maybe the Trust could help? Surely wouldn't do any harm to try it with a couple of items to see if it worked.
  3. Not sure if they have the budget for that big man! Anyway, got someone. Feel free to delete this thread.
  4. Just as it says on the tin. Sky Sports News are looking to interview a 'Well fan on camera today about the referee strike and the proposal of bringing in foreign refs next week. They will come to you, but being in the city centre would be an advantage. Drop me an email to David.fraser30@btinternet.com if you're up for it. Cheers.
  5. Dundee Travelodge booked for the saturday night - £24 a double room - just in case! Looking forward to it.
  6. I'll take that I suppose. What's the rest of the draw?
  7. Exactly. The only thing this post highlights is that live TV games and increased prices have stopped neutrals coming along to the games against the bigots. Don't think that's news to anyone.

    Stevie Kirk

I can understand why you would, but it does seem a tad mental that four guys from the same team have died as young men. If you look at the rest of the SPL from early to mid nineties, I doubt if there's been another four deaths between all the teams. I don't like it, but 'curse' seems almost justified.

    I thought as much. Cheers.

    Tv Games

Does anyone know when Sky/ESPN/etc announce what games they're showing? Basically, I'm looking to find out if the home game with Celtic at the end of February will be an early kickoff/Sunday for TV - Any idea when I'll find out?
  11. Come on - I'm good, but I'm not that good...
  12. Just goes to show I am the most powerful man in the world. Todays Daily Record - page 88. Nae bother folks! :-D
  13. The police on the train on the way back down were exactly what I've come to expect. Antagonistic, patronising and choking to get a reaction out of the least hostile crowd of football fans you're likely to come across. Unfortunately, to some extent, they got the reaction they were looking for. No chance at all any action will come of it though as the boys in blue were behaving worse than the 'Well fans, as CCTV would prove in the event of any court case. Anyway, they certainly didn't ruin my day. Brilliant wee jaunt and even better result.
  14. Whens your bus heading back?
  15. Fuxake Steelboy - I'd blocked out a few of those!
  16. A poor mans Ged Brannan who rarely made an effort in a Motherwell shirt and publicly disrespected the club. As far as I'm concerned he can go fuck himself. We're doing fine without him.
  17. What a brilliant question and, aye, very difficult to limit it to just five (Edit: So I haven't) 2-1 v Celtic at Hampden 5-4 v Dundee Utd 4-3 v Ayr 2-0 v St Johnstone (I still wake up screaming at the thought of that wee Simao c@nt) CIS Cup Final Losing on penalties to Alloa Losing on penalties to Forfar I have chosen to leave out all of the Malpas season as that whole period made my blood boil and couldn't specify one game - likewise the last couple of months of Gannons tenure. The Llanelli first leg was lucky not to make the list aswell.
  18. 1. Dougie Arnott 2. Stevie Kirk 3. Johnny Gahagan 4. Davie Cooper 5. James McFadden 6. Colin O'Neill 7. Jamie Dolan 8. John Philliben 9. Tommy Coyne 10. Martyn Corrigan (Note: Couldnae stop at five!) (Note 2: Craigan would be in that list but it did say 'former' players!)
  19. We've got two, possibly three, spare Friends Fare tickets for the above train Mitch mentioned. Gimme a shout if anyone wants them.
  20. I thought the gate receipts for the semis got totalled up and split between the four teams?
  21. That's always the dilemma, but CB has to ask himself between now and January: 1. Will Hutchison, Page or Saunders (noooo!!) be able to step in and fill his shoes? or 2. If the deal is being agreed now, can we find a replacement before he goes? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, take the money and run! Although, in saying that, I always find it hard to picture Scottish players moving abroad so I'll believe it when I see it.
