    South Stand

I think we should keep in mind that every adult ticket sold in the Cooper gets three child tickets, not all of which will be used. I'd be happy with a 6000 attendance tonight.

    South Stand

I will be stunned, but delighted, if we have sold out three stands for tonight. The thought of it is getting me very excited!
  3. Me, crabbit? Nah, you've got the wrong guy! Nah, don't get me wrong - I am majorly excited about tomorrow night, especially after being subjected to the pish that was South Africa 2010. Chapmans pie, pishin' rain, hoop on the jersey, Fir Park floodlights - cannae beat it!
  4. You look forward to a game more if you think the programme is going to be a good read? I'd say that's either a sad indication of how entertaining (or otherwise!) our games have become, or it means you're quite a strange fellow. In fact, I'd say it's a bit of both.
  5. Think you're getting mixed up with our groundsmans guide to maintaining a football pitch...

    Euro Proggy

The Llanelli one will definitely be sold out due to the devilishly handsome duo pictured within...

    Tickets

I saw Freddy Dindeleux in the club shop today...
  8. Remember and take plenty of photos!
  9. I've been one of the folk criticising Forbes, but I thought he played pretty well last night and his goal was a great finish. Not too sure what to make of the midfield three last night as I don't think they were really tested too much defensively. If the three of them develop an understanding then we could be on to a winner, but I think the lack of pace and mobility in there will be exposed by better teams.
  10. Was just a Puma training outfit with ABR Roofing (I think) on the front and MFC instead of the badge. Was quite smart looking, to be fair - a lot better looking than the two new strips in my opinion! As for the other debate, I'm with Optimus Prime - I am far more interested in Motherwell playing Brechin in a friendly than I am in a Holland-Uruguay World Cup Semi Final because Motherwell are my team. The World Cup doesn't excite me much when Scotland aren't there, other than a passing interest in watching England blow it. After that- yes, I can admire some of the football on display, but I have no intention of being glued to a largely unentertaining month-long media circus that has nothing to do with any teams I support.
  11. Whoever had the good feeling about Gazapo was a mile oot! He was as slow as a week in the jail! Hopefully just lacking in match sharpness as he won a few good high balls and I reckon he knows where the goals are. To be fair, I don't think being the prong in a front three suited him. Would like to see him play in a two with McHugh or someone like that.
  12. Surely if Clarkson is looking for a move back up here, and we're needing a striker....?
  13. I think insurance-wise, that's a non-starter.
  14. The pain in the arse from a testimonial point of view is that Craggs is an internationalist, as it would have been ideal to have had it on one of the free saturdays during the season, like the day after Scotland play on the Friday night in Prague, but obviously Craigan will be away on these dates. You're never going to get a massive attendance for a testimonial, but having it on a saturday will get you that wee bit more and would see more hospitality being sold for it.
  15. I don't think he excelled for half a season. Couple of months maybe. As for the comparison to Charlie Adam, I can see where you're coming from, but Forbes doesn't have the dig, the engine or the build of Charlie Adam. He also doesn't score the freekicks that Charlie Adam does. On the dead ball thing, he's missed at least two penalties, don't think he's ever scored a freekick, and I'd say 90% don't even force a save from the 'keeper. When him and Slane burst onto the scene against Flamurtari, I really wanted them to be good. But I think some folk on here had decided that they'd made it already. Admittedly, Forbes did keep his good form up for the first part of the SPL season aswell, but the tactics were completely suited to his game and when the going got tough, Forbes got going. He is far too slow to command a place in an SPL midfield, has a worse level of stamina than the one that had McGarry slated on here, and is very guilty of picking the wrong pass or shooting when the pass is on. Like I said, I really hope he comes out this season and proves me wrong as it's always that bit nicer to see the boys that have come through the ranks doing well, but I can't see it happening, I'm afraid.
  16. So you think he looks fit and fast? And you think he makes the right decisions when he has the ball? If so, I'm of the opinion that you haven't a clue so we can agree to disagree. From what I've seen he has the arrogance of McFadden without the ability to back it up, and I find myself being infuriated by the fact that he has to hit every set piece when he's on the park, despite his dismal success rate.
  17. Because I don't rate Ross Forbes, I haven't a clue? I find it strange how people who grudge other people having an opinion would spend their time on forums.
  18. Bernard Lama was good!
  19. How many do they have in Falkirk?!

    New Season

Maybe that's why they're doing it. Means they get a free tenner from guys like you!
  21. I just couldn't leave it alone - it's been six weeks or so since the last game and peoples memory seems to be playing tricks on them already! By the time the folk on this board have grandkids, they'll be telling them all how Reynolds would've kept Lucio out of the Brazil team if he had a granny from Rio!
  22. Reynolds? Mark Reynolds? Sorry, who are we talking about now?
