Reynolds is a decent SPL player. No more, no less. What makes him stand out a bit is that he is a rarity - a left-sided centre-half with pace. Not a lot of them about. However, that won't inflate his value much. I'd take your arm off for a flat £500k. Don't think we'll get it though. £300k plus a 10% sell-on clause is more realistic in my opinion.

When did Motherwell earn the right to be snobby about a players pedigree? Take a look at the succesful 'Well teams of the past, or even a list of your own favourite players and see where we signed them from. Off the top of my head, the vast majority of my favourite players either came through the youth set-up (Faddy, Uncle Phil, Dolan, etc) or made a step up to come to the 'Well (Dougie, Kirk, Philliben, Gahagan). Here's hoping we unearth another few legends this pre-season.

If there was any possibility of McCormack coming back, I'd be quite happy if we ripped up Cokes contract offer, and farmed out Fitzpatrick and Forbes. Can't see it happening though.

Leeann, this comment shows that you haven't been at the club long as it certainly hasn't always been guaranteed! I have to say I am very, very impressed by how quickly the charter has been put together, at a reasonable price, and how well it has been communicated by yourself and 'Flow. I think the club were caught a bit cold with Nancy but the added experience of the Euro trips last year has got it running like a well-oiled machine, and qualifying this year has given the club a chance to show how they have come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of years. I know fans, myself included, are always quick to mump and moan when anyone at MFC makes a mess of anything, so I think credit should be given where it's due. 'Flow and Leeann ->

So how does 5% only equate to 93 folk? 5% of 5000 is 250 which will probably be about right for the 'Well.

If 5% of their ground is 93 seats, then that means it only holds 1860! This place is going to be a wee midden. I'm hedging my bets and not even thinking about booking up until after the 1st leg.

6th of November should be carnage - can't see many making Aberdeen away the week before Xmas, and I'm looking forward to a derby in Hamilton on New Years Day! Can't wait for it all to kick off again.

So, I think Gaag can delete the last eight posts that make us all look a bit daft and just say that the draw is at 12:30 our time. Sorted.

Not great news for me as it's a few days before I get paid, and in the same salary month as a European Tour and another expensive weekend away. Having said that, those fixtures are probably the best we could have hoped for in terms of being top of the league after the first game!

Maybe we could have all our usernames woven in to the fabric of the strip like Alaves did for their season ticket holders when they played Liverpool in the Yoofa Cup. Or maybe we could just behave ourselves and wait for the sponsor to be announced.
