I seen all that a few days ago, but had the good sense to not post it on here as it will almost certainly guarantee that O'Brien and co. switch their profiles to private...

That looks like the stages it would take for the wee lassie on the left to evolve into Tam Cowan. Very bizarre.
-
They definitely don't. You could be right about the tag-on line being what was barred, same as like the barmaid not being allowed to say 'same again?' when you approach the bar, as if you've decided to hit the soft drinks, but her politely asking if you'd like another pint is going to make you fold like a pack of cards and eventually turn into an alkie. The world has gone fucking mad.

We're A Fickle Hypocritical Bunch That Have Pish Chants
Frazzie replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
No need for discussion, Mr Diggle - you're 100% on the money. -
I've done all-day bevvying at the football hundreds of times, but never once chanted any Nazi shite, or lobbed chairs onto the park. See the post I've just made on the 'Catering' thread for my thoughts on blame culture, accountability and self-control....
-
That is sort of my point. Yes, McDonalds being made to stop selling Super Size meals has stopped me from eating them, but do you know what stopped me eating them before that? Choosing not to buy them!! You didn't hear me climbing on my high horse on Sunday morning, having made a total arse of myself on Saturday night, claiming that the pub should not have sold me so much bevvy! Control and accountability.
-
The Seig Heil thing is a lot of pish. What is also a lot of pish is that the club may well get a fine because some kid-on hard man ripped out a seat and threw it onto the park at the end. I'd rather the 'Well support turned up and sat on their hands for 90 minutes than created that sort of 'atmosphere'.

Both official sites are saying game on, that's good enough for me.

When I was a nipper and started going to the games with my old man, one of the first football rituals he taught me was the tearing a wee bit off the pie and pouring the grease down the terracing(which would be a H&S risk on it's own these days!). Now an adult, I haven't turned out to be a fat git despite eating greasy pies at the fitba every week for a couple of decades. Anyone who has turned out to be a fat git can blame the kiosks at the fitba if it makes themselves feel better, but don't force yer salad baguettes onto me - that's the sort of attitude that stopped McDonalds from selling Super Size meals. People have to hold themselves accountable, rather than blame all and sundry to the detriment of the rest of us! Rant over. For now.

I completely agree with your second paragraph, but your first one is as gay as fuck. The day that Fir Park offers a healthy menu/vegetarian alternative/poofy nonsense at the pie stall is the day I hang up my scarf. Don't get me wrong - I'm not against good food. I like a nice meal as much as the next guy, but the fitba is not the place I would go looking for it!

Nah mate, I would say that makes John Boyle wee Isa!!
-
You can tell you sit in the posh seats...

With all due respect, I think that's wide of the mark. I'm still relatively young (even though I don't feel it!) and I definitely prefer older football grounds with character. I love Fir Park because of the stories associated with the structures, like who we sold to get the money to build different bits, the dispute with the neighbour which leaves the Main Stand short, etc I would say my favourite Scottish ground at the moment is Somerset Park, although I obviously haven't been there for a while. A also go and watch Doncaster once a season and I used to love their old Belle Vue ground. Now that they're a Championship side they've got an all-singing, all-dancing Keepmoat stadium and when I went there last season it was a load of pish! I'd love a stadium with character, but I'd also not love to be coverred in pish when I leave or have to drink Bovril from a plastic bucket.

Fair do's. Will see if Gaag can sort something out. In the meantime, have you seen this?
-
I'd be up for that. Gaag? We are planning to have an Open Meeting in the next month or so where members and non-members alike can turn up, make suggestions, give us some abuse, or just have a blether so that people know exactly what's going on and what we're planning to do over the next six months. I know the internet is a wonderful medium, but sometimes a bit of old-fashioned banter over a pint or two can get folk a bit more inspired than the written word. Hopefully see you there.
-
We had that before, actually, but it generally got dinghy-ed. If there's anything at all you would like dealt with, please pm myself, Speedie, AndyRoss, Ballso or DaveT on here and we'll do our best to sort it.
-
Edit - Nevermind, thought better of it...
-
I went for pies eight minutes into the game on saturday and when I got to the front of the queue, before I even opened my mouth, the wee lassie said 'All we've goat's mince pies'. So I purchased four mince pies that proceeded to fall to bits and land on my shoes. I think I'll keep the tenner in my pocket next time.

If Reynolds is leaving, and that allows us to keep Ruddy, not only is it a tremendous bit of business, but could also provide us with our new, long-term captain. If big Ruud told me to do something, I'd fucking do it!

Right. No doubt about it. I think it's fair to say when he took over a decade ago he was more of a business man than a football man, but I think he's starting to surround himself with the right people and I think he now knows more about the game. Masterstroke how he got rid of Malpas, done well to get a good amount of compo for Mutley when his stock was low, pulled Gannon out of the hat and then showed him (as he did with McGhee and Malpas) that he won't take any shit. Craig Brown is potentially a quality appointment, as has Leann Dempster been. He has made some mistakes, but not many people can run a football club for ten years and not make any, but I'm delighted with John Boyle at the moment and long may he reign!

Gannon Sacked! Motherwell Part Company with Manager
Frazzie replied to steelman1991's topic in Club Chat
I am absolutely delighted with that. Only downside is that the Trust can't have another Panel Night for a wee while. -
Why Can't Some Of Our Fans See The Bigger Picture?
Frazzie replied to nethertonwellfan's topic in Club Chat
Yes, I'm delighted. To be fair, I knew he was gone when I posted that line. Anyway, even though I am glad he has left, I am also glad that he was here in the first place. He has given us a squad at Xmas much stronger than I expected we could have had when he first took over. However, he has completely failed to manage that squad to its potential over a couple of months rather than weeks and, as a result, good riddance. He has rubbed loads of people up the wrong way within the club, the press and the SFA and you can only get away with that sort of behaviour when you're getting results. He wasn't, so it's no surprise that he now has a back full of knives. That's the risk you take when you manage in such a style. I'm also convinced that Gannon leaving has given us our only possible route towards getting anything at Tynecastle on Wednesday. Hopefully the players will have something to prove, pull together and get the job done. Moan Ra Dossers. -
