I rest my case, your honour.

I think part of the problem with this thread is that because Busta is a bit of a maniac who rarely contributes anything sensible, people have decided that he must be wrong. He isn't.
-
Away from home against someone wee and shite, far away with good pubs and a chippy.

He does, as a regular board member. I actually feel that the board of the Trust containing someone who sits in on Motherwell board meetings, and someone else who is on the inside of the everyday workings of the club can only benefit us. I can understand why people would be uneasy with either of them running the show (I have criticised it before) but this new set-up seems to suit us perfectly, and I'm quite excited about it. Each to their own, though. We'll convince you yet.

He's no longer Chairman of the Trust. Is that not enough?

Well, naw, as there's a collective feeling of dread around the 'Well support when the opposition get a man sent off these days, as we switch from being comfortably in the lead to camped in our own penalty box inviting an equaliser.

If it was McGhee saying those things, we'd all be saying he's trying to deflect criticism for his own ineptitude. Can't say that about big Jimbo though. We'll just wait a couple of years and call him a paedo..

They probably weren't watching. He took about a dozen set pieces, between corners and freekicks, and they were almost all shite. Too many missed place passes, and generally just a bad day at the office for him. Quite happy to forgive him as he's been excellent so far this season, but what I won't forgive is Gannon continuing to play Moutakil, continuing to make daft substitutions for no reason, and continuing to decide one goal is enough. Every fucking week.

Posted missing for the equaliser today. Every one of his crosses hit either the first defender or an advertising board. Pack yer bags, son.

Nae idea mate...

Sorry to offend the happy clappy sheep of the Motherwell support, but that wasn't good enough again today. I can't be bothered typing out another rant, so here's a copy/paste of what I said in the other thread earlier in the week because it is still completely relevant... "I don't want to sound like a moaning-faced c**t, but people keep clinging onto this "We've only lost one game" patter, which is all well and good, but we haven't won many and- if you look at all the draws individually- the Celtic game is the only one that felt like a point won to me. All the others have felt like two points dropped, especially the three occasions we've finished the game up against ten men (missing penalties on two out of those three). If we lose the next two games, which we are expected to, the wheels could be well and truly off the wagon and we could find ourselves scrambling about the wrong end of the league. And it won't be because of losing the next two games - it will be because of a plethora of stupid draws brought on by too much dicking about and an inability to kill teams off."

I'd be against anything that further de-incentivises (perhaps a made-up word) someone from finding work. And folk on the dole are less likely to buy programmes, merchandise, etc when they're there which makes it less beneficial to the club. Also, it tells you everything that's wrong with the world that some people would prioritise the viewership of Jeremy Kyle and purchasers of microwave meals for one above people who fight and die for our country.

I think the commercial reasoning behind it is, apart from the good PR, the army is one of very few jobs that has a short-ish career. Nevermind retirement age- I'm on about discharges, etc and these people will come back from serving abroad or wherever and look to get back to some sort of normal routine. If they've been getting used to going to Fir Park then it's very possible that it's something that they'll continue to do when they've finished serving. I don't think that anyone at the club would say it's a political move, and I doubt it's Leann Dempsters way of throwing her weight behind the war in Iraq. It's a nice gesture, and the club will benefit from it in the short and long term. Don't read too much into it.

Haha - I was only kidding mate! No explanation required. Although if he ended up playing in the same midfield as big bad Bob, that would be suicide territory for their fans!

"I know something you don't know! na na na na na!!"

Why don't you all just come out and say we're batting above our average then? Would at least get an amusing reaction from fatcalf The facts are like this - we've been a top flight side for quarter of a century, so we've got every right to consider ourselves established and we've got every right to compete. Another fact that we can't ignore is that there is more teams this season scrapping it out at the bottom. St Johnstone, Accies, Falkirk and Kilmarnock are all crap. Hibs and Dundee Utd are probably a level above us at the moment, so the way I see it is that we have a four team "mini-league" competing for two top six places. That league is made up of ourselves, St Mirren, Aberdeen and Hearts. I'd like to think we were the best of that four, but I think we'll end up bottom six because of stupid points lost against St Johnstone, Rangers, Aberdeen, Accies, etc. That's eight extra points we should have had already just off the top of my head and if we'd finished these teams off we would be sitting top of the league!

I'm enjoying it. It's always exciting and a bit more interesting when it's a new manager and a load of new players, especially when it's younger players coming through. Doesn't mean it couldn't be better though. In fact, that's part of the package with young players - frustration.

I was trying to think of something that was a cross between Senegalese and Icelandic and it was the best I could come up with. Geez a break.
