To The Board At Motherwell Football Club
nethertonwellfan replied to nethertonwellfan's topic in Club Chat
Not sure if your referring to me but if you are then here is my response. If not then accept my apologies. FYI: I am a member of the Well Society both personally and under the Steelmenoniline banner. The "misinformation" I was spreading was from Clyde 1 who reported the headline "SPL Clubs Agree Unanimously to a 12-12-18 Structure" and which stated that the clubs have now passed it over to discussion between SFL clubs who will meet on Thursday". So that was my source. They have just repeated it in the 1700 news. There will be a sports round up at 1730 so tune in. -

To The Board At Motherwell Football Club

I would also like to add that I don't expect a vote on every issue in the running of the club, however this is a major issue for the future of Scottish football and indeed Motherwell football Club so I think we should have at least been consulted. -
Why weren't we consulted of the changes like other clubs? Why has your communication on this issue been non existant? Why do you think zeroing points half way through the season will bring fans back to football? Why do the SPL continue to ignore the fans that are the lifeblood of this game with regards to SPL reconstruction? Whatever happened to ".....following the spirit of the model you are trying to create?" The decision you have made today is extremely damaging to Motherwell Football Club and Scottish Football as a whole. In my opinon you have really weakened the appeal of the Well Society and have missed a great opportunity in promoting this idea. Do you have anything to say to me and many other fans out there who are extremely disappointed by the decision you have taken today to support this shambolic 12-12-18 proposal? Fell free to add some more of your own.

Football Rules: Whoever scores the most goals wins the 3 points. In 23 games we have scored more goals than the opposition 10 times, scored less goals than the oppostion 6 times and scored the same as the opposition 7 times. As a result of the above stats we are sitting 3rd in the league with a great chance of finishing second in the league. Of course we're no perfect but we are in a very decent position in and people still like a moan. I'll take 3-2 every week over all the clean sheets we got under Brown. Don't get me wrong I was shiting myself at 3-2 yesterday but it wouldn't be Motherwell if they didn't make us sweat every now and again. So aye cheer up FFS and make sure your passports are still valid.
-
You're correct, Inverness have lost 3 league games this season and 2 of them have been to us, the aggregate score is 9-2. You could say we are to Inverness what Rangers are to us.
-
Maybe it's just me but I'm never annoyed after a Motherwell win. Higdon's finishing yesterday was class.

Liam Craig has signed for hibs on a pre contract.

the MLS with Portland Timbers.

Clicky Clicky 2 I have to see this.

The Messi question was actually rhetorical . I might be thick but no that thick, I was just meaning that because he's lanky doesn't mean he can't or won't make it. I would have put teams off but wrongly on my eyes. I used Messi because he is one of the best players ever.
-
I didn't think you needed to be built like a tank to play fitba these days. How did Messi ever get a game?
-
Bigger in terms that they have a higher average attendance than us and can offer more money. Also perception has a part to play in it , if the buying club think that Aberdeen are a bigger club than Motherwell then that's all that matters with regards to bigger transfer fees, and the same goes with all the others. I know you weren't asking me but I thought I'd throw in my tuppence worth

Well Sign Kallum Higginbotham On Loan
nethertonwellfan replied to somethingsomethingwell's topic in Club Chat
The one I'm talking about didn't include 2 penalties. In fact I don't think any of them were penalties in the hat-trick I'm talking about. Plus scoring penalties are a decent feat for us these days. -

Even when he scores a hat-trick? -
If we have a bit of intelligence as a club and a bit of balls then we would get as much for Murphy in the summer as we would now. Therefore, from a financial point of view, selling Ojamaa would make sense. However the figures being quoted for him are derisory in my opinion. Having said that if it was sell Ojamaa or face serious financial hardship then it's a no brainer.

I'm no really shouting down the rumour it's more the site that it came from. If it came from somewhere else I would have shown silent scepticism. The site is utterly rank though.
-
It was nowhere near 1.25 million, it was more like 250k and I could have came up with the Crystal Palace rumour due to it being the same manager.
-
It's not interesting if you know it's utter shite. Nothing from that site has ever come true therefore its reputation drops and subsequently people can't be arsed reading about it. It really is simple. If I want fiction I'll watch the telly, I read the ins and outs threads to see who is leaving and who is going. I take all rumours with a pinch of salt until I start hearing it from a few sources then I start to gain an interest in it and then when the player actually leaves/signs for us I begin to beleive it. When he has played a game I completely believe it (see Mike Grella). If that site was accurate Chris Humphrey would be a £2.5 million Liverpool player.
-
You just answered your own question It's not good reading though.
-
I can see both sides too but it is the first home game on Saturday 29 December (probably the first Saturday to be honest) and it is 5 years to the day so I think it is appropriate to mark it. A standing applause in the 10th minute by the whole ground would be appropriate. Is the flag still kicking about?
-
Aye I just watched there and although Ojamaa does some superb work the finish from Higdon is also superb.
-
I have to admit when I saw the starting 11 yesterday I huffed "what are you playing at Stuart, leaving Hammell and an in for Humphrey on the bench". Just shows you why I'm paying 300 quid for a season ticket and he's getting paid. What it has also done is rest a couple of good players while getting a cracking victory. The team were fantastic yesterday and it was 4-1 going on 9-1. Ojamaa was senstational yesterday and I also thought that Zaine Francis Angol had a brilliant game. By the way get it right round you Craig Brown, your team were beat by the better team. We had more desire and more class than your boys and that fact will never change despite the shite you continue to spout.
-
I have to pick Ojamma some of his touches were sublime and created real openings.

The return of the muppets and they have returned with vengeance. then they will disappear when we beat Aberdeen until we lose again.
