  1. It cost one guy/mug his life making an announcement over the tannoy on Saturday
  2. I'm gutted and don't think I'm going to make this unless I can magic some money for the club charter. I am flying out to the Algarve on Thursday at the back of 12 from Edinburgh and there are no flights going to be back in time
  3. 9 starts makes his 7 goals even more impressive . His Scottish cup record is very decent too.
  4. The club's all time European scorer, I would say that's no bad.
  5. Behind the Beltane Bowling club which is no far from the Sports Centre.
  6. Aye they don't realise it's a testimonial.
  7. Get a grip folks this is a testimonial which means former team mates will come back to show support for him. If he puts a few extra bums on seats then that is more success for the testimonial. Gives hammy more cash in his pocket and quite frankly he deserves. I wouldn't care if pele came on for 15 minutes.
  8. Sportsound just tweeted that Rangers will be in the hat for the league cup tomorrow. Did I hear that correct? Rangers are in the league cup draw and we are in the Champions League draw?
  9. All the best Kaiser, he was a fantastic servant to Motherwell and I have nothing but respect for the guy. I ended up naming my dog (3 years old today) after him .
  10. For anyone who can't make the game they can purchase a stream of it HERE for £3.99.
  11. A 2nd appearance in the Champions League is not up for grabs though
  12. There is no point kidding on here, we have lost 3 experienced and decent player and arguably our best player in Steve Jennings. However, how many times have we lost players and someone always steps up to the plate and lifts all? Aberdeen and Hibs seem to have strengthened but could they get any worse? We may not hit the heavy heights of last season but you have answer this question by looking at other teams and asking yourself are we better than them or not. So here goes, Celtic - It's a no brainer and they are a mile ahead of us and everyone else in the league. Dundee Utd - I'd put them just ahead of us this season Hearts - They are a bit of an unknown as they will have a different squad from last season. I would stick my neck out and say we are better than them. St Johnstone - They will be closer to us this year but I think we will edge it this year. Kilmarnock - I predict we will finish above them this season. I can see them as being candidates for the drop. St Mirren - I can't see there being a 20 point swing from last season Aberdeen - They will be stronger but again will there be a 20+ swing in points from last season? I can't see it. ICT - The have went back since last season and will not even be close to us. Relegation candidates. Hibernian - They will be closer to us but again they need a 30 point swing on last season. They have signed some players but I wouldn't say they have added any quality. Ross County - I'm no expert on them but I can see them finishing 9th or 10th. Dundee - 24 points behind Ross County last season. Relegation Candidates. Obviously all that depends on who sells from now until the end of the transfer window and again in January. I can't see anyone strengthening. Teams may go in to administration but I am far too positive to factor all that in. So going by that I think we will finish 3-5th
  13. The thing is what if Everton said it's a 1.30 KO or we can't do it? I understand all the concerns and some of you moght miss the game but this game is about Stevie Hammell. I'd much rather the game got put back half an hour than no game at all.
  14. the SFL clubs were offered reconstruction as a bribe for taking Rangers in to the first division. The reconstruction that they told us just last year was financially not an option. The SFL clubs have been crying out for league reconstruction and let's be honest they would never have got offered it under any other circumstance. The greed of the SPL got the SPL in to this mess and are owed nothing from clubs of the SFL.
  15. By they way a big well done to Brazilian and everyone who has paid up for this, the response has been nothing short of terrific. This forum represents a small part of our support and if representative of our wider support then I have no doubt that our club will be fine.
  16. Champions League ticket purchased. Roll on the 20th and the draw.
  17. £25 sent. I will get the rest sent as soon as I can.
  18. I was also thinking the club could start a membership scheme for the Cooper/Centenary. They can hold various events and non members pay a fee. They can even charge non members a quid entry fee like Social clubs do.
  19. never thought of that, I was just thinking of virgin without Sky Sports. Well freeview then. Is there not other ways of getting sky programming free so that Kirky's Mrs can get all that reality stuff for free and right on to her laptop/computer ?
  20. I can see how my conversation with Sky will go. Me: I wish to cancel my subscription with you. Sky : Why is that Mr Rooney? Me: Well the company that you work for are endangering the life of the club I love by pulling out of a previously agreed deal because Sporting Integrity prevailed over finance. Many other fans of other clubs will follow suit because they feel the same. Sky: Well Mr Rooney considering you only joined Sky in February and you signed a contract for 12 months then I'd say you're in breach of contract. Me : (holding back my giggles) Aye well SKY promised me.................in fact do you get the irony in what you just said there? My direct debit will be cancelled immediately after this call and your equipment will be outside the front door.....
