  1. Do you not think the people who voted no would come out and name and shame the yes voters? At the end of this we will know exactly who voted yes and who voted no.
  2. Exactly there is no way the club would ballot members and then go against their wishes, it would end the Well Society. This statement backs it up.
  3. I think the whole ethos of the well society is about democracy. I will be voting NO and hope the majority vote no. However, If it comes out a yes vote I will be back at fir park because my problem was about the fans wishes being ignored. I can't and will not argue with a democratic choice. If (as I expect) we now vote no and Rangers get 11 votes and are playing in the SPL then I am not going to punish my club because we done the right thing. I think there is a point to a Motherwell team who listen to their fans. Anyway I think they're fucked anyway.
  4. Someone just posted on Facebook that Freddy Dindeleux is going .
  5. A trip to Istanbul may be off the cards.
  6. How did split gates work in the past. Was it half of the attendance-season ticket holders or was it just half of the attendance?
  7. Just heard, from a member of the Rangers supporters association, that if the Newco is voted straight into the SPL, The Rangers fans will boycott all away grounds due to the sanctions that would most likely be imposed as a condition. So wth them and Celtic fans boycotting (not to mention our own) what are the advantages of a yes vote? ...................................Aye you're right, hee haw.
  8. Stephen Craigan's opinion The first sentence says he believes that they should be allowed entry to the SPL. Can anyone tell me from his quotes where he said that? I might be just a bit tired and be completely missing it.
  9. We weren't in in any way in the same situation. You are comparing apples and pears.
  10. If that was the case why would they need to apply for the SPL and they would also retain their membership of the SFA so would be able to get a UEFA licence no problem. Why the need for this vote at all?
  11. Yes they are a new team and should follow the same processes as all other teams wishing entry in league football. The same route as Annan, Peterhead, etc.
  12. That's what Mr Green would have you believe but to FIFA and the SFA they are just a new team who need to be an SFA member for 3 years before they can be granted a UEFA licence. Do you realy think allowing them straight to the top league is fair on all the other teams around them?
  13. No this is a new team under the Rangers banner that wants to be parachuted right to the SPL. The rule that bars them is one that says "A club has to me a member of their association for three years before being granted a UEFA licence." Therefore, it is not really a ban it just means they haven't qualified yet. The vote that is going to take place is as a result of an application to the SPL by "The Rangers". If this was about punishment Rangers wouldn't have needed to "apply" would they?
  14. That is the thing that some including the club don't seem to get.
  15. If the club vote no I will take the consequences and I will be back no matter who is playing for us and in what league we are in. If the club vote yes I won't be back to watch who is there at the moment. I don't go to Fir Park because Darren Randolph and Nicky Law play for us, I go just the same as I did when Stevie Woods and Derek Townsley were in the team. I will not be part of a league that parachutes a new team in to the top league for financial gain.
  16. See if The Rangers were rejected it wouldn't just be Motherwell that would need to cut their cloth but every team in the SPL so it is not as bad as some (including the club) are making out.
  17. If the club vote yes then I'm out. It is time to listen to the fans on this one, however it does seem the club are on a PR exercise to convince the fans on the merits of voting yes. Let me tell you board members, if you vote in favour of "The Rangers" then I am pulling my Society money out and I will never attend another SPL game. This is not an idle threat because I will not pay money to a league that parachutes teams in to a top division because they can bring a little cash to the game. A Dunfermline/Dundee pound is the same as a Rangers pound and just because there is more of one doesn't mean we should let them break the rules and get away with murder. My vote is a resounding NO
  18. It's not just the player he needs to convince.
  19. Alert to those voting yes. Scottish football is in a shitty state WITH Rangers and finances of alot of clubs are terrible WITH Rangers. I find it ironic people are arguing that we need Rangers' fans money when Rangers themselves couldn't even survive on said money. If clubs go under due to Rangers going under then I'm sorry but that is their problem. Can you think of any other business that relies on money from their competitors customers? Clubs need to be self sufficient. I say no and have no doubt that clubs will have to cut their cloth and reduce costs. We will certainly not be able to attract the Steve Jennings of this world. We will still be able to offer the Ojamma's and Scott McDonalds (at the time he signed) a platform to show their talents and perhaps move on to bigger things in the future. Other clubs will be forced to focus on their youth development and this in turn could be to the benefit of the whole of Scottish Football. This is a chance to change the whole of Scottish Football for good. Increase the league and share the prize money more fairly. Even introduce a pyramid system that will allow a Rangers newco to get back in the league in about 15 years. Scottish football has been scared to make change because of their reliance on the old firm. Well there is no old firm any longer because you can't have an old firm with 1 team. Scottish football is fucked and it has been for years and people should remember that it's fucked BECAUSE of the old firm. Motherwell, and the rest of the SPL, it is time to grow a set and make the changes that will save our game.
  20. I agree with this post, however under normal circumstances it is normally the relegated team who gets the stay of execution. Therefore, Dunfermline would probably take the place of Rangers.
  21. .............then he would take it the next day.
  22. Anyone with the job security of McCall would be mental to take that job.
