Champions League Tickets For Well Society Members
nethertonwellfan replied to gilmour's topic in Club Chat
Was just gonna post that , not verbatim mind you. -
A lap of honour is fine. We don't need to be stripping players and digging up the pitch to enjoy ourselves. Although I wouldn't be against a controlled occasion like after the 1991 cup final at fir park.

Good man , I hope you've learned a valuable lesson not to be so hasty in future.

Proof you know hee haw about fitba. We have only lost 4 games (minus the OF) all season and we deserve to be third. Why the lack of faith? Anyway mon the well, we're all going on a European tour....
-
Must I remind you that Stuart McCall was or manager the last time we beat Celtic? Anyway I would take losing to they two ugly sisters all the time if we can have the same record we have this season against the rest (apart from Killie obviously ). As frustrating as the defeats are, it's all about total points at the end of the season. If we can get 60 points, finish 3rd and our record against the old firm is P 8 W 0 D 0 F 0 A 40 then so be it. St Mirren beat Rangers this season and look where they are? Take out Killie's cup win and look at their record against the top 3. From a league poisition point of view what good has it done them?

There is also a petition.

There is that downward spiral again eh. 2 defeats in 9 is being on the slide  .
-
The fact that we would be gutted with Europa league football just shows how well we are doing .
-
Because they are proffesionals and they are paid to care. Anyway of course we will do it. We have taken the most points from our games aganst Dundee United, St Johnstone and Hearts. In fact we have taken 17 points from 27 available. I think 2 wins and 2 draws from our remaining 6 games will be more than enough to secure 3rd. We are more than capable of doing that.
-
..........For most improved matchday programme. I have to agree the programme has been immense this year. Well done to all involved but remember the real work starts now as we need a quality Champions League programme .
-
Don't forget last season began early because we had 6 games in Europe. We had 2 cup runs with a semi and a final. We probably played more games than most. I think people are overreacting to the Kilmarnock defeat because up until then we had lost 1 game in 9. I don't think it's our players we need to worry about because it seems to be the fans that are shiting it. Give me our position over that of St Johnstone and Dundee United's any day of the week.
-
Aye we can, we will still be 5 clear because St Johnstone wont pick up anything at Parkhead.
-
I hope they get this group Barcelona Ac Milan Spurs Motherwell As great as that group would be it doesn't half fill me with fear.

15/8 with Paddy Power and Stan James for anytime goal scorer. 6/1 with Paddy Power and Sky Bet for first goal scorer.
-
Indeed, I have said that many times. I do hope it comes on Saturday though, it would be massive just like the win at Parkhead in McGhee's first season it will probably give us the belief that will get us at least third.
-
I actually agree with what you're saying but people are just getting fed up with our record against Rangers now. When I say fed up I mean fed up believing that they are there for the taking and this is the time. Then we go out there and get mauled by 4, 5 or 6. People are hoping that if they go into the game with little or no expectations that it wont hurt as much although I doubt that it will hurt less. 9 and a half years is a long long time and every defeat saps my belief even more, and I'm sure it is the same for others.

That offer isn't as good as it sounds. Most online bookies offer you a free bet to the value of your first stake (most with a £50 limit but some do go up to as much as £200) whether the bet wins or loses, therefore my suggestion is that you open an account with Paddy Power (currently offering 11/8 and match a bet up to £100). Immediately you will be given a bet token of up to £100 which you have to use in full I'm afraid but keep a hold of it and if Rangers go 1-0 up in the game bet the double result Motherwell or the draw (which will probably be about 7/2 or somewhere close to that) and then it really is a win-win. If you look on oddschecker it gives you a list of all the offers that the online bookies have. I can't take this offer up because I have exhausted all the free bets and have used this tatic in the past when betting large single bets on the football. If this scenario happened this is what you would be looking at (for a £100 bet): Rangers win you will have a return of £237.5 Motherwell or the Draw £350 If Rangers don't take the lead then we will be delighted anyway. I hope that made sense .
-
I'm disgusted with myself but with our record and those odds it's an absolute no brainer or a licence to print money if you like. I'd rather I lost my money, no doubt about it.
-
£50 at 7/5 at the moment. I will be putting more on it on Friday when I get paid, another £100 at least (I suspect the odds will have tumbled byt then though) I hope come Monday I'm in rent arrears .
-
It was the same season. The Jim Gannon/Craig Brown/Hibs 6-6 season.
-
Those wanting to bet Rangers at 7/5 you better move fast. Sky bet now go 11/10 Rangers, although Boylesports and Stan James are still 7/5 but that wont stay around for long. Rangers will be odds on by Saturday.
-
Latest betting - Motherwell 7/5, Rangers 7/5 Draw 9/4 (courtesy of SkyBet) When was they last time you saw prices like that in a Motherwell v Rangers game. If I wasn't a Well fan i'd be firing on Rangers.
