  1. I'm watching Goals on Sunday just now and Gary McAllister is on it. Now I remember him as a Scotland player and as a player with clubs in the EPL (and the old First Division) and was always very impressed. He left Motherwell when I was 3 so never had the pleasure of seeing him in the famous claret and amber so to the older ones on here, what are your memories? Did you think he would be as good as he was or was his success a surprise? Did you look at him when he was playing with us and say he is a class act? I'm looking for anything really .
  2. So do I. The guy that started that thread was an idiot back then but he has learned his lesson.
  3. Maybe you'll learn to give players a bit of time in future
  4. Oor new player Lawleff is on the bench today
  5. Chick Young has just touted him as a future Rangers gaffer
  6. 3-1 Murphy Higdon and Law. Easy meat 13 points 6 games.
  7. No, Bradford don't have money to pay the compensation needed.
  8. I pretty much agree with this. See if we were playing Aberdeen and the boy had the same sign but h*n was replaced with sheep shagger, would it have been dealt with in the same way? I think not. Whenever I hear that word It is used to describe Rangers fans rather than a whole religion. I've never heard anyone use it towards a minister etc.
  9. The thing you fail to realise though is Lasley was part of a winning team the last game he played. Oh aye and if it was Humphrey that was sent off in the Hearts game I don't think you would have made that comment.
  10. Absolutely nothing? Now I half agree with you because I also think we'll get beat but do you really think we there is nothing in both teams form to suggest we may pull off a win. See our last win when we had lost all they games in a row (10 I think) and we beat them. So I would say there is more to say we will win this one than you could have argued for a Motherwell win the last time we beat them. I think we'll get beat because I refuse to get carried away because I am sick of getting myself hyped up then crashing back to earth with a 4-1 or 6-0 humping. But that is me being negative for negative's sake but I know that and don't mind admitting it. I don't know what your excuse is though because if this was a V St Johnstone thread you would be saying the same thing.
  11. A wide man that can play up front and score 20 goals a season for 200 quid a week
  12. Has he not turned out in the Masters for us too?
  13. Do you no think McCall is trying? As I've said before there is no point signing a player just for the sake of it. There is still plenty of time left. People are only worried because of the early start to the season. If the season started when it usually started nobody would be worried. Oh aye we will be nowhere near relegation this year with or without any new players in.

    Faddy

This thread is titled hypothetical so what's your problem?
  15. Not mentioning 1991. The march in Nancy was pretty special. Buzz saving the penalty there was pretty special too. Also Tom Hateley's goal in Odense was fantastic too.
  16. To be fair to Leckie he did say Craig Samson saved St Mirren from a tanking.
  17. I agree with the point about unconstructive criticism and that he is not a waste of a jersey but you give the impression that any criticism, whether merited or not, will be countered by you. I think you make some valid points but these can be mooted because you give the impression that you are blinkered when it comes Humphrey. In my opinion during the match players are entitled to 100% support but after the game this is a discussion thread where the negatives and the positives are discussed. This will be the exact same situation post match in the dressing room. Stuart McCall and the guys will look at the negatives too and try and improve on these. The fact that we are top of the league, unbeaten and haven't conceded a goal all season doesn't mean everything in any of the 4 matches has been hunky dory. There has been negatives in all 4 games and there is nothing wrong with looking at the negatives because that's what makes good teams even better teams. I bet you even Barcelona look at where they can improve as scary as that may seem.
  18. Bill Lekie on Brines "IAIN BRINES could referee the Dalai Lama's XI against a team of Hare Krishnas and it would end in a 22-man brawl."
  19. One day you'll actually have some constructive criticism to say about Humphrey. The fact that you defend him unconditionally invalidates any points you have on him that are fair. The fact is he was pish on Saturday and I'm sure the guy himself is big enough to admit that and continue to work on his game and improve because that's what professional footballers do. You can have all the potential in the world but if you don't realise when you have a mare then you will never fulfil such potential.
  20. If it wasn't for their keeper we would have won comfortably. Who cares about possession it's goals that count. The chances just prove we were more effective when in possession of the ball.
  21. Rumours are rife about this game getting called off. Dunno why the negative rating was given for a simple question. I have just had 5 different texts asking me the same question.
  22. Really tempted by this now especially with your post Andy. I'm working Saturday til 12 so let me know the details and I'll get back to you if I can make it.
