  1. Was he actually doing any harm with an inflatable Champagne bottle and a Vuvuzela? ANYONE should be able to keep such items at a football game and anyone who complains about such items are very sad indeed.
  2. Can you qualify the second half of that statement statement ? Why are the people that run our club twats? Maybe you should start a new thread to do it.
  3. Life isnae that bad FFS. Today was shite but god we have been shite in the past and we will be shite again but we are still having a decent season. Start looking on the bright side of life FFS. MFC will be back!!!
  4. Less of the overreaction please. We have been woeful the last 3 Christmas periods and came on strong. We were pish today but give me a break with all the relegation pish!! We are nowhere near that bad.
  5. I refuse to single anyone out. The full team were shite and showed no fight today. The defence were posted missing all game especially for the first goal.
  6. I don't think there are bigger and better options than those available. Having heard Derek Weir today I can't argue with the criteria that the board are setting. I hope there is someone on the shortlist who we haven't mentioned but if it is McCall or Sutton then so be it. How do we know how good they will be ? They might provide us with some gems because they both have contacts in the English game and both know the SPL well. They wouldn't be my first choices but hey we are Motherwell and we're skint so we are never going to get the perfect candidate that 100% of the fans want if there even is such a thing.
  7. I would still take it doon because it's advertised as starting from the Rangers game so they can't refuse you entry! I'd kick up fuck if they do.
  8. Paulo Nutini or Raymond Onesti ? One of them anyway!
  9. As long as it's a real contract and no a bogus 18 month contract like Broon and Knox.
  10. It's no as if you can fix a hole in one anyway
  11. Which is why relegation is seen as a disaster!
  12. That isn't the point though. If we get a manager that does an exceptional job and a 'bigger' team come in for him then so be it. As long as he acts in a proper manner and keeps his dignity then I wouldn't grudge him a move to bigger and better things. That is if it is bigger and better things and not to Aberdeen. I am all for ambitious managers coming here as long as they have something to back it up with.
  13. I get the idea but some of the 3000 are children remember and another chunk of the 3000 will be on the limit (and perhaps even beyond) of what they can actually afford. So it will not raise as much money as you would think. Nothing wrong with the idea though.
  14. I'm sure I read he has an 'SPL team clause' in his contract.
  15. Honestly I take your point and agree with alot of what you say especially regarding McGhee. I was only using 18 months as an example by the way . I don't mean Butcher was mediocre but if you compare his record with 3, 7, 5 then it kinda is only because we didn't qualify for Europe . What I am saying though is if our manager is wanted buy other teams then that doesn't bother me that much because we are doing something right. The same as when other teams want our players. They must be doing something right too with the exception of probably Derek Townsley Don't get me wrong it's pish at the time.
  16. FAO Finlay (your post is way too long to quote I know where you are coming from, however If John Hughes or any other manager came and signed a 3 year contract. If in 18 months he finished 3rd or 4th and won or even got us to a final of a cup and then moved to the championship and as a result got us 200k signing on fee. Would that really bother you ? I would be quite happy with that. We need to start viewing managers the way we do players. If they come in and do a job and then get a move then fair enough. However, there is a way to go about it and Brown and Mutley handled it the wrong way. If Brown went the first time I would have been disappointed but I wouldn't have grudged him his move but he was a lying twat about it so I can't stand him. Mutley was the complete opposite and courted every move going publicly. If the next manager comes in and does his job successfully and wins his move in a dignified manner then I will wish him well. I'd much rather that than a manager with a mediocre record staying for 5 years or longer.
  17. Malpas wasn't a bad number 2. It was when he took over the hot seat he was shite.
  18. I think that was Matt Le Tissier that was involved in that! I think it was for there to be a shy in the first 5 mins so he took it then over cooked his pass Edit: It was actually worse. One of his team mates kept it in Belter
  19. Just had a look on wiki was interesting to see that Airdrie actually finished 2nd that year.
  20. Were they actually due to get relegated aye ? I didn't even know that !
  21. Come on man it was a bad day at the office that's all!
  22. They are even talking about in on William Hill Radio. It must be important
  23. Aye and got more of a ban that he is on! For all we know he could have tapped him in the shoulder and said " I'm going to rape you and your family". Extreme I know but the point is you can't just dismiss things because the guy wears claret and amber. I don't think he would do it but I don't really know the guy.
