    Well Bois

I remember the pre fence days - just! If we were playing Hearts (or Celtic or Rangers), the polis used to segregate the fans by creating a space up the terracing between them, and putting in the dog handlers. Anyone stepped out of line, the polis would just let the dog's lead slip a little! I was at primary school then so whenever there was a big game like that, my dad took me to the main stand.
  2. I am GiffGaff, which uses O2 signal, and I have same issue, not just in park but even in streets round about. My dad sitting beside me is on Three and has no problem what so ever.
  3. Not a bad debut for Suzanne Grant - just the 11 goals!
  4. He and Chris Cadden stayed behind in Ireland to join U-19 squad in Foyle Cup competition.
  5. Not to mention dribbling up the park to the half way line. Ah, they don't make them like that any more!
  6. Looks like a more than decent goalkeeping coach and an inventor to boot!
  7. Having just read the post by Charlie Bennett, it looks like they have an extremely good structure for bring through the younger players. so hopeful there will be a good number of younger players being integrated into the team as time goes on.
  8. Thanks for the information Charlie - it certainly sounds like there are exciting things happening> would be great to see both the Ladies team and Steelmen competing in Europe in a couple of years time.
  9. I think there is a continuing development fee - so if he is transferred on we get a small % and again for any subsequent transfers.
  10. Les said that the Provan Sports pay us a "large" fee for having their store in the ground, and then we also get a cut of their profits once they have reached a certain target.

  12. I did this, but have now started the upgrade to the next level at £10 per month (for 70 months). So that is always an option.
  13. I am guessing he walked ......... into a better paid job.
  14. The 2 of them then took us apart in the game itself ( did end up something like 7-1). 2 fantastic players.

    Relegation

Being an old codger who saw his first Motherwell game in 1971, I have seen us relegated a couple of times, nearly relegated another couple. I would be disappointed if it happened again this year, but not distraught. It would be good opportunity in some ways to get club sorted out properly (as we appear to be starting to do now), ready for the Premiership (like Hearts are doing now). There are always highs and lows (and I have seen a lot of them) supporting a team like Motherwell, but as long as there is a Motherwell to support I for one will be there. SIWY and COYW!
  16. I think the things is though that even if we go down (God forbid), we will be in a much better position in many areas than we are now. These are long term plans not just for the next 4 months.
  17. According to SM after the game, Reid, Kerr and Zane were all carrying injuries and under normal circumstances wouldn't have even started. So while I agree he didn't have a great game there are mitigating circumstances. COYW!
  18. Yip you are correct it was Hibs - Spanish player David Ferrer (is that right spelling?), made his debut as a 2nd half sub and scored a hattrick - not sure who scored the other. This also happened to be first game I took my wife to (could have been around 2003/4). She is from New York and had never been at a football match before. Even before we scored she thought it was a brilliant game - because she was used to all the stop start nonsense of American Football!
