really lookin forward to this too lads. yeah the eurpean pre-season football was good, but nothiing beats the excitment of the start of a new football season. my saturdays have been dryy without awayy days and home games so lets have it !! its usualy motherwell tradition that we always take a good support to the first game of the season. so lets wish any players who do read these boards the best of luck and the team as awhole, nad lets get behind the boys !! the more i see and hear about jim gannon, the more excitded i get. the way he speaks about 'his' team and his passoin and determination to do well it a real eye oppener. he is a genuinly nice guy to talk to and is very approchable and will talk to anyone. he was in attendance at the sponsers night last night and was speakin to almost everyone. me and my dad were talkin to him outside and he even offered us a run home !!! really looking forward to the things that lie ahead in the leadership of jim gannon

just in from the sponsers night what a great night it was too ! tam cowan was great through-out the night. most first team players were in attendance are were available for pictures etc .. the guest speaker, a rather hilarious comidian in myy opinion was fantastic, although he was getting the cold shoulder from some of the older members of the audiance players were thier to hand out strips and so on on the whole it was a great we night p.s ... had paul slane been in attendance he would have got it tight tam cowan was gettin torn into him lolol !

Good performance from the boys tonight, they should walk out of the game with their heads held high, they did themselves no shame tonight as at the end of the dae, stauea are a class above us in terms of passing, ability etc etc ... but we gave them a run for their money tonight and no one can fault them. can just imagine the headlines in the papers tomorrow Hummiiation for scottish football etc etc ..... but the real fact is that we dont have the money the celtics and the rangers and other well heard names in european football have ... and yess that does make it difficult for smaller teams like motherwell to compete .... however, whoever we get... we always give them a run for their moneyy and am pround of what the team didi tonight, dont know about other fellow fans but heyy... its football and not everyone agrees, its paet of the game. anywayys, credit to the boys tonight, they done themselves and the club pround tonight, but also some credit has to be given to steua, yeah the penalty was soft, yeah we should have our fair share of penalties and free kicks ... but just wasnt to be... cause the ref was a WANK !!! also, was watchin gannon and the way he shouts and commands is just what we are needing as a team... if he sees a player not doinf their job... hes staright on their case and love his fiesty character looking forward to the season oppening in perth ... should be great.
