He had a bit of a nightmare truth be told and was subbed at half time on a few occasions. Looked out of his depth. Shame was expecting him to go far.
-
Was about to say the same thing. With the sprinklers being on at half time that reduces the usable part of the pitch even more. I always used to laugh at the guys pretending to fork the pitch at half time when in reality they were doing fook all!

IMO yesterdays scenes have been coming and it was only a matter of time before a pitch invasion turned really nasty. There have been numerous examples up here and down south in recent years where unfortunately the fans have let themselves down and proved that they can't be trusted. It's probably set the Heavy Hands Empty Stands campaign back about 20 years. I feel sorry for both the Hibs and Rangers fans who didn't let a game of football become an excuse for them to act like arseholes.

Double figures anyone?

Like Watt's positional play is bizarre!
-
Do you not think it was OTT on purpose? It was an opportunity to show the authorities that we were taking the threat of sanctions seriously without there being any real threat of a pitch invasion.
-
The club are damned if they do and damned if they don't. The big mistake was obviously trusting the fans to behave at the end of the playoff game. What happened at the end today should have happened then.

The "Business" section of the Well Society says nothing about looking for skills or experience, the focus is all about cold hard cash, no matter how little.
-
I think that late Celtic winner really took the stuffing out of their fans and players. Beat before a ball was kicked IMO.

I meant monthly direct debit scheme. I don't doubt what you are saying is accurate but I find that hard to believe. The Foundation of Hearts didn't deem to have any issue having such a monthly direct debit scheme in place from the outset.
-
You have what I think is called "founder membership" status for those who paid a lump sum and then renew their membership annually, then you have those who signed up to monthly direct debits. I assumed when the direct debit scheme was rolled out those with founder membership status would have to move over to direct debit in order to stay "active" but this doesn't seem to be the case, creating this strange two tier membership system all because they didn't have the foresight to have the direct debit scheme set up from the beginning.
-
The relevant figure is the number of active members either paying monthly by direct debit or renewing their membership annually. The fact that we have this two tier membership status is another mess that they need to sort out.

I think one possible get out would be for Hutchison to join the Well Society itself investing sufficient funds to allow the Society to buy the club. That way he doesn't own the club outright but only as a member of the Society and he get's to walk away without putting the club into difficulty paying back his loan. Plus he could have "Big Les's House" written in giant wall tiles in the tunnel. Every Motherwell fans dream.

We were also sat behind the shot for the Thistle goal and the swerve the ball took was huge. I'm sure Ripley himself would have expected to keep it out but I'd let him off with this one.

You weren't behind the yellow line!

Posters who have completely missed the point = mjw You have no idea which side of the debate I fall on. I actually agree with Spiderpig in that there is nothing to talk about, as I believe the issue ankles has highlighted doesn't actually exist in that I don't think Burrows actually gets a hard time. If you ignore the zoomers who would blame him for them stepping in dog shit outside the ground then I think the majority of fans are willing to sit back and see how he gets on. Whether they think he should have got the job in the first place is a completely separate matter.
-
You're absolutely correct, what was Graham thinking expressing an opinion about Alan Burrows in a thread about Alan Burrows! Or is this just a place for his fan club to check in?

The late goals have masked some pretty appalling second half performances if truth be told and going by the text updates St Johnstone should have been home and hosed well before they scored. Today's result coming off of the win on Tuesday shows, for me, it's not about confidence. We're just not good enough.

I don't understand the scapegoat accusation. He has admitted himself he was at fault. Blaming Macmanus for a poor header or even Pearson for a rushed clearance appears to be more about deflecting blame away from ainsworth, a fan favourite, who has been a real disappointment all season. It's clear from from Mcghee's previous interviews he rates ainsworth very highly but has been made plenty of promises which have never materialised on the pitch. This is obviously a last resort.

Is it possible that there was an increased Police presence last night due to the trouble at Tynecastle? You can't look at these incidents in isolation any more. Our card has been well and truly marked.

I don't think Cadden made contact with the ball or the player. The Dundee player has nipped the ball then gone down like he's been snipered, every bit a dive as the Hibs player in the league cup semi yesterday.
