  1. Just watched the highlights on youtube. First half there were plenty of chances for both teams and you can clearly see the wind played a big part in Dundee's goal and their best chances so I don't think we can be too critical. Moult looked offside to make it 3 1, he has to be timing his run better and I don't think you can blame Pearo for not shooting. That penalty though, the attacker definitely bought it with his theatrics. Abysmal from the ref.
  2. Saw the club reply to a tweet that there wasn't even a pitch inspection planned and there has been no suggestion the game is even in doubt on Sky Sports News so all looking good.
  3. If anyone ever wonders why we are a team that is capable of going on a 5 or 6 game winless streak you just have to look at the game yesterday. At home, against a team we are pretty evenly matched against, yet we conspire to gift them the opening goal then fail to put them under any real pressure until the last 5 minutes at which point it's far too late. Their defence is every bit as suspect as ours at the minute but we failed miserably to exploit it. I agree with the folk that say we are a few players short of becoming a decent team, but at the same time if we lose just a few of our most experienced players then we quickly revert to the cannon fodder we saw last season. This transfer window is massive and I hope McGhee can pull something out of the bag, as it will make or break our season.
  4. McDonald and Fletcher should both have scored. Alexander's touch may have put McDonald off slightly and the bobbly pitch didn't help Fletcher but both should still have put them away and at 3 - 2 it's game on. Our defending for the goals in the second half in particular was disgusting.
  5. Just watching the highlights on alba the now. Debatable if their first was actually over the line and I think the pen was a dive. Sow's chopped off goal looked onside though.
  6. I blame Steve Robinson for giving poor Mark bad advice.
  7. Young's first sentence in his report described our performance as "dominant", and he went on to say we won "in grand style" which was a fitting tribute to Phil O'Donnell. I stopped reading after that. Total bollocks.
  8. Castle Water or Motorpoint I would imagine given their links to the club already. Did we ever find out who the "major" sponsor was that we almost ended up with that Dempster said other clubs would be envious of, before we eventually signed up with Cash Converters!? I think Coca Cola was touted at the time but I might be making it up.
  9. You just have to look at the stats for the last few Utd games to see that they have been very unlucky not to have won at least a few of those games, especially those at Tannadice. However, we rightly go into this game with a lot of confidence and I predict a narrow 1 nil victory with the goal by, you guessed it, Louis Moult.
  10. Aye I agree it's only when the ball is played that he appears in the picture. He should just have buried it anyway!
  11. This 100% Ainsworth one on one Marv had at least two great chances Moult missed a great chance for his hat trick. The pace of our counter attack was phenomenal and they just couldn't handle us. I was going nuts when Ainsworth went off as he was running riot and after that we had no out ball at all but young Watt did very well and we were comfortable if truth be told. Shades of Ibrox in the playoffs.
  12. Should easily have been four tbh. Outstanding performance. I love Louis Moult.
  13. 1 nil soft pen for us from our favourite ref Steven McLean.
  14. So did I, he said he was fit and available for selection last night on the radio. Hopefully he didn't do his groin again hopping off the stool!
  15. Josh Law must be absolutely delighted that the scapegoat roulette ball has finally landed at someone else! Step forward Joe Chalmers.
  16. When I read that on the Society page my heart sank. If that is the sort of thing they are coming up with to entice new members I'll not get my hopes up for the rest of the recruitment drive.
  17. From the Well Society FAQ page The agreement also involves the Well Society making any repayments of Les Hutchison’s initial £650,000 loan which the club is unable to make. By playing its part to the agreement, the society will be able to ‘buy’ the club from Les for £1 on or before 2020.
