  1. The fact that we are completely incapable of going for 90 mins is seriously starting to rip my tits. As others have said great first 30 minutes then overrun. Dan the stand out again. I think I counted 4 or 5 one on ones where he made great saves. When your keeper is MOM and you're still losing says a lot.
  2. No way we will keep a clean sheet again but I'm going to buck the trend and go for 2 -1 to the good guys.

Wasn't there but from the open all mics commentary and highlights Dan kept it respectable.
  4. Well, going by the highlights 3-1 flattered us and ICT could easily have had 5 or 6. The defending on display was real schoolboy stuff. Back to being a complete shambles after a decent display against Utd.
  5. I think the reason we haven't heard anything is that there is nothing in it. I'm just amazed anyone could be for it.
  6. With the greatest of respect, you are deluding yourself. I would rather have "rooked and beyond boring" than a bunch of fraudsters trying to rinse the club of everything they have under the guise of showcasing South American talent. Anyone who believes that bullshit is nuts IMO. If Boyle lets the club go to one of these shady consortium outfits (that have been chased away from every other club in the land for good reason) then I would consider that a greater crime than the whole administration debacle and to be honest I don't see any evidence that he is willing to let that happen. If the Club do jump into bed with these guys, and we as fans let it happen, then we deserve everything we get.
  7. If it has any legs then someone (Boyle) must be considering it and to me that would go against everything he has said previously about leaving the club in safe hands,
  8. IMHO we were by far the better team in the first half and were a baw hair from wrapping the game up. The goal has given them a lift and now it's anyone's game. Need to dig deep.
  9. I think that answers the can we afford to sack McCall question.
  10. Aye but in reality that's just not how it works is it? We passed up the chance to sign Darren Barr and ended up signing O'Brien from Derby. Have we to make pointless comparisons of their recent performances too? Where does it stop. Edit to add, see the Faddy V Josh Law thread for case in point.
  11. Still doesn't mean he would have done the same here. Hindsights a wonderful thing.
  12. As far as I am aware he was given use of training facilities and I would imagine us looking at him was more out of courtesy than actively pursuing him with the intention of signing him.
  13. If people are determined to rub McCall's nose in it for not signing Clarky at least look at what he actually said and more importantly when he said it. He specifically wanted someone with pace to go in behind and despite Clarkson's good run of form that's still not his game. I very much doubt he would have had the same impact for us either, given the way the whole team are playing. BBC article from July
  14. I thought that was an excellent interview. He certainly didn't shirk the question regarding the criticism of his time away with Scotland. It's not surprising he didn't come out with anything earth shattering with regards to the reasons for our poor run. Fine margins, confidence, individual errors and a bit of bad luck, scoring the first goal is half the battle etc. Yeah they are clichés but they're hard to argue with. I would have liked him to have been asked about apparent lack of fitness and the shambolic (from a fans view) preseason. I still have confidence in him turning things around.
  15. It's statements like this that really rip my tits. Complete nonsense. Very few on these boards, if any, have an insight into our GM's relationship with the players/staff. Coming out with rubbish like that, which has no foundation, doesn't help anyone. Yes be pissed off with the shite that has been served up recently on the pitch but don't spout rubbish like that as if it were fact.
  16. I would imagine the reason they took the pens at the far end was they were worried about folk on both sides not being able to act like adults and behave themselves.
  17. People have been asking for something like this for ages and it's great to see the club are listening. For people like myself who simply don't want to attend every home game it's perfect. Seriously considering one.
  18. With regards to Dan, I know what you are saying but that just isn't how it works for a keeper I'm afraid. There is no point making wonder save after wonder save if you are going to get beat from distance consistently due to your lack of height (or poor positional sense whatever it may be). The positioning of the wall at the 2nd was just wrong. All they guy had to do was smash it on target and it was a goal. I agree with the rest of your post.
  19. Was literally about the post the same thing. The guy and his son are a nightmare, long term "survivor" or not.

    Lee Hollis

Reid didn't show for the ball because he clearly didn't want it. It wasn't on and Hollis shouldn't have thrown it to him. That was his mistake IMO. Maybe our defenders were expecting him to come and claim a cross in his area.

    Lee Hollis

Hollis suffered from being absolutely gash, he wasn't even a decent shot stopper and I distinctly remember thinking he looked like a bad 5 a side goalie after he let a shot right through him the first time I saw him play for us. Up at Aberdeen in the last game of the season he threw the ball out to Reid when he wasn't looking and almost cost us a goal. He also lost the flight of the ball in the air and it clipped the inside of the bar much to his bemusement. His kicking that day was also terrible as normal. A thoroughly nice guy by all accounts and yes unlucky with injuries but when he did get his chance he just wasn't any good.
