The Society has only been up and running for what seems like 5 minutes and I find it hard to believe we are in as perilous a position as you make out. Are you really surprised that the number of people who can afford to essentially gift the Club money are few and far between? The Society is a noble idea and I hope it can work but in the current climate I don't think many Motherwell fans and afford it, it's a simple as that. As far as selling players goes, we always have and always will be a selling Club.

Murphy may have been out of form recently, but is easily worth more than £250k IMO. Would much rather keep him till the end of his contract than give him away.

And it's no coincidence that our best performances have come on the road, where the young guys have been creating a great atmosphere for most of the season.

Admitting they got this one wrong is admitting the whole system is flawed, and that is why we were never going to win this appeal. The moment Gary O'Conner got off with diving against St johnston I knew this thing was going to be a disater, and it has gone down hill steadily from then on. It's a complete and utter farce and the sooner it gets binned the better.

If it was anyone else but us, you'd be surprised, but it's what I've come to expect when it comes to the ticket office at MFC unfortunately.

Yes its open but the lassie I spoke to said they are plannin on shuttin early say 1 o'clock Edit to add its open to 7 tomorrow night if that's any use to you.

I think folk are being a touch harsh on the OP, who IMO has a legitimate grievance. I don't think it's that unreasonable to expect the Council to make a special effort and grit the streets/pavements around Fir Park. Surely the volume of traffic/potential for some nasty falls would make them a priority? I'd at the very least expect the Club to be out salting the pavements in the immediate vicinity of the ground, that to me is just common sense. Winter/snow/ice is nothing new right enough, so why is it that we are so poor are coping with it in this day and age? I think part of it is you used to be able to say, yeah the Council will have been out and salted X, Y & Z by this time but now it seems to be pot luck. Best thing to do is get a pair of those grippers that slip over your shoes, then you're not relying on anyone else to make places safe.
