  1. heard someone next to us talking about this. absolutely ridiculous from United. That's everything that is wrong with football these days. Clubs should be embracing those guys not driving them away.
  2. Thought we won today without having played particularly well as United were just terrible. Think us v St Johnstone. Particular praise has to go to the back four as they were rock solid and never looked under any pressure at all. Big Higgy was by no means outstanding but did what counts. Delighted for the big man.
  3. I'm detecting a hint of sarcasm in this thread...
  4. Against Hibs we must have either crossed the ball or played it across the face of the goal more than we have in all the other games combined and it's no surprise that Higdon got on the end of one and set up the another. If you supply him, he shall score. If you get folk up in support of him, he will link up with them. Today he did neither, but by no means was it all his own doing. Still think he will bang the goals in for us though.
  5. I think this is a good point for me to reiterate my desire to bring alcohol back into football grounds.
  6. What amazes me is that people are continually surprised at this. It happens every season and at every ground in the country. Boo boys always have and always will be part of football. No amount of moaning on here is going to change that.
  7. Shit game but if there was going to be a winner it was always going to be us. Well done Bob a goal out of nothing if ever there was.
  8. Brilliant effort again last night. As has been mentioned, it's definitely starting to spread down the East. Keep up the good work!

    Chris Humphrey

Humphrey is a player who, when in form, can be a genuine match winner. Right now he's most definitely out of form. Unfortunately for us it would seem his good games are the exception rather than the norm but that, of course, is the very reason he is playing at this level.
  10. Back down to earth with one hell of a bump eh! If we had any cover at the back I'd have Hately back in midfield pronto as I thought he did ok today. He certainly didn't look disinterested and you couldn't question his effort IMO. Jennings just hasn't been at it this season and after a good start Lasley's form has evaporated. Nicky Law needs to stop wandering inside all the time and remember he is playing on the left side of midfield. Some of our bast play has come from his link up with Hammell and Murphy but when he wanders all over the pitch those two struggle to get into the game. It hasn't taken teams long to work out how to stop us playing, all they have to do is press us high up the pitch and stop our fullbacks pushing forward. As others have said we have absolutely no Plan B.
  11. Losing against the OF is not the problem for me, it's the way we fold like a cheap suit after conceding the first goal that gets my goat. That's something we can do something about. Maybe if we stopped drumming it onto our players that they aren't as good as the OF, are not expected to get anything, can only win if the opposition have an off day and we get a massive slice of luck etc. then our guys might actually have some belief and go into games thinking we can get something rather than how many are we going to lose this time. If you think you are going to lose, then you are half way there already. Rather than saying this result was expected McCall should come out and say it's not on, otherwise all he is doing is reinforcing the belief that getting humped 4 nil is acceptable, and that is exactly where we are at the minute. The sooner we break this habit the better.
  12. some of our build up play has been great, we just have no cutting edge.

    John Sutton

He'll be at Hearts longer than the manager so I wouldn't be too worried if I was him.
  14. Yes u need to buy ur ticket in advance. Dunno if they are available at fir park on the sat morning tho?
  15. Hibs may be on a terrible run but are still far more dangerous than some of the teams we could have got. With O'Connor in their team they are always going to be a threat and their form will improve.
  16. I couldn't agree more. You could see a real spring in Humphrey's step after the boys were singing "that" song for ten minutes!

    Dunfermline

As mentioned Law was excellent but with two goals to his name Higdon just pipped it for me.
  18. Played well today and thoroughly deserved the 3 points. Thought they were absolutely woeful and on that showing will struggle big time this season. We always had another gear to move into and proved it when we went straight up the park and scored after we gifted them their 2nd. If we really wanted to we could have taken 6 of of them today. Special mention to the lads up the top corner for creating a great atmosphere. Top of the league, I'm getting used to this!
  19. plenty of off street parking near the ground. never had a problem in the past mate
  20. It doesn't say anywhere that its all ticket and the Pars website lists pay at the gate prices.
  21. Very well put. That's pretty much the bottom line isn't it.

no way you can fault randolf for that goal. it was a great hit from lafferty, as much as it pains me to say it.
  23. Doh where Bryson came from I dunno. But you get my point.
