To be fair, I can't remember reading anyone defending the sort of behaviour you have just described. There's a big difference between a few drunk fans getting into a scuffle with one another, which is what we were led to believe had happened (from both Motherwell and Odense fans), and racist thuggish hooliganism. I'm sure now that you have set the record straight most folk will agree the so called "fans" got exactly what they deserved.

I fear you may be right. There's been a lot of chat about this team not being up to much, based solely on Thursday's performance. Personally I think they just gave us way too much respect. Now they know what to expect I think they'll be far more in our faces on Thurdsay. In saying that I hope they're pish and we hump them!

Think I mind reading somewhere that Uefa have decided seats have to have a back of a certain size or they cant be used. The saddle style plastic ones in the POD stand don't meet the minimum back hight apparently. New rule this season. I not sure if this is true though. My thinking was loads of grounds on the continent are full of those types of seats. All seems a bit strange to me!

I think the signing of Blackman could be the making of our season. You could tell instantly when he's come on that he has that wee bit of quality about him. I think Broon will start him and Casagolda today. Both to be on the scoresheet 2 nil to the Well! As far as the Europa League or avoiding relegation debate goes, for me that's a no brainer. Relegation for a team like us would be an absolute disaster and could threaten the very future of the Club, so for that reason alone I'd choose to stay up. Mid table and Group stages would suite me nicely thank you very much. This could very well be a glorious year for us Well fans!

had a look at most of the hotels that come up from a google search/expedia earlier and there aint an awful lot on offer for less than 100 quid a night (double room). might have to look outside the town centre me thinks. That cabin inn looked a good deal for 43 quid a night but no availability on the thurs now

They took the "principal sponsor" & "JAXX" logo that was in the top right hand corner of the official webpage down a while ago now. Prob just not had time to remove the other logos and advertising at the ground. unless our new sponsor is another gambling company, it'll prob come down just before the season starts.
