  1. If this is true, and I doubt it is, then all it shows is Premiership Managers can sign diddies just like the rest of us! No doubt McLeish is one of them!

    What If?

Noone is arguing that Forbes didn't have a great start to the season but if anyone thinks he's still in that sort of form then they're kidding themselves. He has massive potential but I definately think he has looked a bit lackluster in our last few games to say the least. Hopefully it's only a temporary drop in form and he can return to his best.
  3. Yes I do it was a decent defensive performance but nothing special. That was also Yass's best game in a Well shirt, but it was still a game that we really should have lost. Celtic just didn't have their shooting boots on.
  4. It's an absolute disgrace what McGhee has got away with, coming out stating he wants to sign one of our players when he has no right to talk to him until January. It's definately had an adverse effect on his game and ultimately our preformances. Shows a total lack of respect.
  5. What I mean is he know's what he is doing by taking the attention off his own mistakes by highlighting others. I agree with you in that some of his tactics and decisons have cost us, but we can't say that now can we. Hopefully he will learn though. The next few games will be interesting.
  6. This fighting with the media and refs is a deflection tactic used consistently by Alex Ferguson when his team are poor. Gannon knows exactly what he's doing.
  7. They've obviously done their homework. Any team that closes down our back 4 quickly causes us problems and nullifies any threat he is going forward.
  8. Didn't expect to get much of a result yesterday but a few things really disappointed me. Thought we looked tired and at this stage of the season there's no excuse for that, even with our early start. As others have said we don't have any dig in the team at all. I'm not asking for players to go about kicking folk but we never won a 50/50 all day. Tactically I was surpised that for someone with a reputation for identifying the opposition's danger men and stopping them playing Gannon obviously learnt nothing from the game at Fir Park! We just stood off Zemama and let him run things again! I thought Reynolds had turned into Craigan with his long balls up to Juke and Sutton who were totally dominated by Bamba! Giles Coke - when he comes up against a better player he hides. I think the game against Celtic has come at the perfect time for us. The players should at least be well up for it as it on the telly.
  9. Some of Gannon's decisions this season have already proved that he's no always right though!
  10. Whats worries me more is the huge difference between our first and second half performances. We seem to have players that tire badly, are posted missing or simply stop doing the things that were working for us in the first half. That, and some of Gannon's substitutions,(taking Murphy off today for example) is very frustrating. I can't remember the last time we finished the stronger team, even when the opposition were a man down.
  11. Exactly, all this nonsense about him being told to attack attack attack and that making him look worse than he is is doing my nut in. At times you'd look back and he's be nowhere to be seen. He disnae have a fecking clue!

    Keith Lasley

He did exactly the same thing five minutes before and Ruddy bailed us out. Probably trying too hard.
  13. And some folk just don't want to accept the fact that some players (in particular Gannon's signings) are pish. Never mind his crossing ability as a defender he is chronic.
  14. The main reason for that should be obvious... John Ruddy!
  15. Oh dear are we picking on poor wee Yass. He's still pish.
  16. Possession football is exactly what we lacked in the 2nd half today. Tho there's a difference in passing for effect and passing to take the sting out of a game, which we haven't been able to do all season.
  17. Yassin is our only recognised right back and the players who may have replaced him have been injured or are being used elsewhere. Maybe that, and the fact that Gannon signed him, has meant he is less likely to get the hook than the others.
  18. He's sooo fecking frustrating! But at the end of the day he's easily the weekest link in our defence, that says it all really. For all his pace his final product is, nine times out of ten, shocking. I don't think he has been instructed to come inside or to push forward by Gannon at all, I just think all he knows is how to attack and has a terrible positional sense defensively. Aberdeen were down to ten men and we still got caught two v 1 on his side at times today. I'd rather have humphries going forward on that side and a solid right back any day of the week.
  19. Just read Gannon's latest interview on the official. The man is fast becoming a legend! In Gannon we trust!
  20. I thought we looked comfortable at the back and they scored with their only two shots on target. It was a stonewall penalty. All of Forbes pens have been savable this season and the Keeper (easily MOM) got to it easily. Thought Forbes was poor again today. Putting someone on the posts at corners would have stopped the first goal and I thought Fraser might have got down to it. Thought he could have cut out the cross for the second too as it looked like it was headed in well inside the 6 yard box. Difficult to tell though. Was definately a game there for the winning. We just didn't stretch the play enough when they went down to ten men which was frustrating because we had the players on the pitch do it.
  21. 11 nil with everyone to score, even Ruddy!
  22. £18 -£22 a ticket pretty unsurprising!
  23. And we would have been raging if it had been given against us!
  24. Neither the hand ball or Murray's tackle were pens in a million years. From where we were sitting (in the second row on that side of the pitch) the hand ball looked accidental and Murray clearly won the ball. What sealed it was the reaction of the St Mirren players... they were fecking raging! Oh and to the junkie ball boy/man... you no a bit old still to be doing this. Gae the weans a chance FFS!
