  1. Where am I going wrong here? If, and it's a big if, the club is worth £4m today, and the WS owns 71%, their shareholding is worth £2.84m Over the next 6 years the WS has to "invest" £1.35m and in 6 years time will have a 46% shareholding. So, Current Shareholding + £1.35m = 46% in 6 years time. 46% of £4m is £1.84m. The Barmacks will put in £1.95m and have 49%. This means that the Current Shareholding is actually worth £1.84m-£1.35m = £0.49m If the Current Shareholding is worth £0.49m, and that's 71% of the total shares, then this values the club at £690k. The question here is, is the club worth £4m today or £4m after equity injections of £1.95m + £1.35m? I have to be missing something.
  2. Moult was outstanding. Thought Pearson worked hard all game and an honourable mention to Law for his dead ball work - close with the free kick and put the ball in the right place for Moult a couple of times from corners (including the goal).
  3. Surely you jest? This is an internet forum. We have the right to be judge, jury and executioner on any topic regardless of facts or evidence.
  4. I long for this kind of positivity again.
  5. I'd like to know the answer to these. I may have to steal this as it made me chuckle.
  6. Based on the original post I don't see where it blames Flow (or indeed anybody) for anything and suddenly this thread has turned into a mad rush to defend Flow and retrospectively blame a number of different factors for our position. Why do we insist on constantly dwelling on the bad things rather than focus on what we do to improve them (which is kind of what the post asks)? (note: this is a rhetorical question). While Flow is not on the board he clearly has an important role in the club which has recently included being part of the recruitment team for our new manager. In addition to this he was sent to sunny climes to talk to Les Hutchison and, while not privvy to these discussions, I think it's reasonable to assume they covered more than just admin topics. The board and Flow have an improtant role to play in where our club goes from here and it would be great to know what the vision is but I fear we may have to wait until the Summer to discover more. I think the next few months will be painful to endure but I am behind the management team (off and on the park).
  7. We coped without internet forums for most of those 128 years - there is a downside to welcoming new developments ...
  8. Totally agree. I really hope the players buy into his vision. One of the most articulate managers I've heard in a while!
  9. No idea where you're getting this pish from. Comments like this really don't help.
  10. This (except he doesn't own the club, just a majority share). In terms of security over the stand, this is for the loan and nothing to do with the shareholding as far as I am aware.
  11. Sadly, we have no say in this. John Boyle ultimately decides who gets his shares, whether he 'donates' them to the fan ownership model or 'sells' them to some other investor(s). In my opinion, the first option leaves a better legacy but both are risky from the point of view of the club and the fans. Better the devil you know?
  12. The level of conjecture on this thread is worrying - especially when people then interpret this as fact. I spend more money at Asda per year than I do at Fir Park - this doesn't give me the right to know every detail of what goes on behind the scenes at Asda Group Ltd so why should we have the right to know every detail of what goes on in the boardroom at The Motherwell Football and Athletic Club Ltd. Facts are available if you look for them. For example if you look at Duedil.com or Company Check you'll see that John Boyle has approx 70% of the shares in the club. The rights of this shareholding can be legally transferred to another person or persons and I suppose that this is what John Boyle has done - this can be revoked at any time though.
  13. Let's be realistic. The club cannot afford to sack SM before the end of the season so unless he resigns I believe he will be here until the Summer and will then move on. There are 15-17 players out of contact at the end of the season and if I were them I'd be doing my best to ensure I had money coming in after this year as the club cannot afford to keep the playing budget at the level it is at - especially if we finish bottom 6 (and god help us if we're knocked out the cup in the first game). Now is not an easy time to be a Motherwell supporter and the next 6-12 month are going to be arduous. So, what are the options as fans: 1. Get behind the team and management 2. Whinge and moan about the team and management (under the guise of everyone is entitled to their opinion) 3. Give up supporting Motherwell I choose option 1.
  14. This is an excellent idea and well done to both clubs for making this happen.
  15. ... or Casagolda whose wiki page says he scored 45 times for us in 13 games - legend!
