  1. The manager's probably going to play two goalkeeper's on a Saturday, to try and stop losing silly goals. One stays on the line and the other goes for cross balls. What a waste of money!
  2. Only problem is, that's another new player trying to fit into the team. Hope it works out of course.
  3. It's interesting to see how the home strip has polarised opinion. It's seems it's a case of you really like it or you really hate it. I hate it!
  4. Well at least if you guys are right about the diagonal stripe, that saves me thinking about buying a strip this year. I won't be giving it house room.
  5. Sorry, but I'm totally against a sash. As has been mentioned we had one before, and it was naff then and it will be naff now.. Let's keep with tradition and have an claret hoop on amber please.
  6. The boy reminds me of McFadden when he broke into the team. Full of confidence in his ability, and willing to run at people. Defenders don't like that kind of attacker. He is one of the young guys that deserve, and should get, a run in the team. He's exciting to watch even although he makes mistakes, he's still willing to take on the opposition again and again. Hopefully Barraclough can see what a lot of posters on here can see, and give the boy a chance.
  7. Name me a poorer team then please
  8. The biggest problem is that we not had a settled team on the park since the start of the season. Can anybody tell me if we have had the same team on the park in consecutive games? How can you get any consistency when you can't even get a settled team on the park. My only hope is the new players settle in quickly and we get a settled team on the park for a few games.
  9. Where the hell is this defence? It doesn't matter who we play the defence is posted missing every game!
  10. Totally agree. If anything like this happened I'd be back to fishing every Saturday. Football would be finished for me.
  11. Yes it's looking like we do need a change. We have a situation where David Clarkson is training with us but wasn't what we were looking for IE: a goal scorer !
  12. Sorry, but at this moment this "team" can't create chances. They are the lowest scoring "team" in the scottish leagues. We are playing like we are relegated already, and it won't be long until that becomes a reality. This bullshit that we'll come good the next game is just that, bullshit! McColl played all his experienced players against Aberdeen, and they showed they are not up for the fight. John Sutton has completely lost his way, the goalkeeper kept humping balls up the park to him, and 99% were just headed back to allow Aberdeen possession again. What McColl sees in Josh Law, I just don't know, can't pass, can't tackle, a complete waste of a wage that could have been used to give McFadden a contract, who, even half fit, is a better player than Law will ever be. A midfield that doesn't seem to know where there supposed to be on the park. There all over the place, no structure! A defence that can't tackle. Did you see McManus's pathetic attempt to stop Haynes going through for Aberdeen's goal. Over the 50 years or so I've followed Motherwell, I have never been as worried about my "teams" performance. I highlight team because at the moment that is one thing they are not. They can't even pass to one another. I really don't know how they can drag themselves out of this mess, and believe me I've see Motherwell in the lower divisions before, and would again if the worst came to the worst, but my worry this time is the possibility of administration or worse if we go down.
  13. We didn't have as many injured players when John Porteous was still here!
  14. TAM I am with you 100%. An unfit Faddy would bring more to the team than Josh Law ever will. I believe Faddy would be happy to take the kind of money we are spending on Law. Remember we also have another ex player training with us that would be a better option than Law in Stephen Pearson. I know he left under a cloud, but he is another who has experience , similar to Faddy, and could bring on the younger members of the squad like Leitch, Thomas etc. Neither of these two are playing, so we should be able to negotiate a sensible salary that suits the club. If they don't want it, fair enough, leave it at that and move on, and give Don Thomas the chance to fill Josh Law's boots.
  15. Does the fact that John Porteous has left for Hibernian have any bearing on the amount of injuries we have at the moment. It just seems that all of a sudden were having more problems than we had in the past with players picking up injuries.
  16. Can only add to the sentiments already expressed. It has been a fantastic achievement to again be at least third in the SPFL, with European games on the horizon. For someone who has seen our team in lower divisions over the years, to have this sustained period in the top teir of the Scottish game is remarkable. Well done everyone at Fir Park!
  17. The only way to get anything from Celtic is to close them down all the time, don't give them room to move. When we have done that in the past we have always given them a game. Give them room to play and we will get beaten.
  18. Have I missed the result of this raffle, or has it still to be announced?
  19. While I agree with virtually all you say in this post. The problem with this result is McColl sent out the message to the team he picked IE: leaving out his captain and top goal scorer, leaving out U20 players from even the substitutes, only picking 5 substitutes. This can only be interpreted as bad management and we'll win this easily. When a team goes onto the pitch with this attitude they can never lift their game if things go against them, and this is what happened.
  20. Listened to the radio on the way to the game, and Gordon Dalziel called it correctly. He couldn't understand why we didn't put out our best eleven and win the game first and then substitute where required. Equally McCall has been totally disrespectful to the Motherwell support by defending the attitute of the team he put on the park. They lacked fight, they lacked desire and they lacked quality. I could have played instead of Lawson, he hardly made a forward pass, and when he did he mainly gave the ball away. I know I shouldn't single out any individual, as they were all culpable and lacked a sense of passion and urgency to go and win the game. A sorry day for all the supporters who had to sit through that excrutiating excuse for a football match, and I've seen a few over the many years I've supported Motherwell. If the team were to go out with the same attitude on Friday, they will get hammered!
  21. If we can play a lazy B like Vigurs, then we can certainly play a talisman like Faddy, because good or bad he will fight for the cause. I would be dropping Vigurs if Faddy was fit.
  22. Have to say Ian Vigors was absolutely rank rotten. He wanted too much time on the ball, and continually got caught in possession, and didn't get a tackle in all game, wouldn't track back and chase for the cause. Got to be dropped for Wednesday's game.
  23. Probably just to screw more money out of the fans who go. The upper tier is dearer!
  24. They don't want the drum, because it's there to lift the away team. If it was in the home stand to lift the home team there wouldn't be a problem.
