  1. I've said it on other platforms, in my opinion we do not give Dundee Utd a player who could improve their team in the coming six months unless they part with at least £200k in January. If they don't or can't, Tony Watt stays until his contract is up and can watch Motherwell from the stand every week until he leaves. We will get on without him, as Sunday helped to prove and I'm sure the manager will be looking at other options as well. No player is bigger than MFC.
  2. I'm in the camp where if Dundee Utd won't pay us £200k or more to take Watt now, he stays and sits in the stand watching Motherwell until the end off the season.
  3. OK let's be controversial. Let MFC sell tickets to 500 non season ticket holders (and I'm a season ticket holder} and at least make some money instead of nothing. What do you think of that idea, and please don't swear.
  4. OK I'll go with my top five strikers : 1. Ian St John 2. Willie Pettigrew 3. Michael Higdon 4. Joe McBride 5. Dougie Arnott I guess thats me giving away my age as well.
  5. I agree with the above. We cannot sit off Ceptic or they will beat us. We have to press. The main thing I want to see is total commitment, give me 100% effort, and I'll take that, whatever the result.
  6. The fact there has been no MOTM thread, tells you everything you need too know about the performance against Dundee.
  7. That I'm afraid has been something that MFC have done ever since I can remember. I don't know why it is, but as you say it's most definitely a mentality issue. How you get rid of that I have no idea.
  8. Might be a good opportunity to try 352, but I won't hold my breath!
  9. We can discuss all we like about using 352 or 442 of any other formation we think might work. But I would like a bet with William Hill that the manager will continue with his preferred 433 formation., no matter what. I'd love to be proved wrong, but I ain't holding my breath.
  10. We can all see there needs to be a change in tactics. But there is absolutely no way on earth this manager will change his 433, and as usual we will get overrun in midfield and Aberdeen will take over the middle of the park. We will allow them to put cross after cross into the box. I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, but the man is not for changing anything. I also posted a while back how Goss was totally useless against Celtic, and was told in no uncertain terms," you can't judge him against Celtic", Who can you judge him against? Thats one of the teams we play, and since then he has done virtually nothing in the next two games. Shouldn't be in the team, has brought nothing.
  11. Another point is when Rangers got a corner, we had no out ball. Nobody up the park to make Rangers put players on them. Rangers could put every player they wanted in the box and if the ball was headed out, it could only go to a Rangers player. Rubbish.
  12. Poor Grimshaw. Of the three midfield players on show last night, he was most certainly not the worst. When did the other two get involved in the game. Corners, throw ins, other than that they were anonymous .
  13. It would appear everybody's system causes us problems in the midfield. We don't really play anything through our midfield, we just hump it from back to front and hope it sticks, and if it doesn't we seem incapable of picking up second ball. It would be nice to see a bit more football being played.
  14. A few on here have suggested we should go 352, I tend to agree, as at the moment we play virtually nothing through midfield, and this might help us get some possession there. We are punting long balls virtually all the time, and get very little second ball. But one thing is certain (I hope I'm wrong) this manager will not change his tactics. It will be 433, we will continue with the 2 man corners. So disappointed that he cannot change and tries to tell us that Saturday was the best the team had played in the first half.
  15. Can't agree about Goss in midfield. He produced absolutely nothing against Celtic.
  16. David Turnbull will always get my respect for doing what he did to make sure Motherwell got the £3m fee for him, but I will not be cheering him or booing him. He plays for another team, so we move on as he does.
  17. I would love to see Charlie Aitken be enrolled next time around. I know a lot of you on here will not have seen Charlie play, but he was an inspirational player, who helped those around him. As I say maybe next time.
  18. Its a home game so you will get it with your season ticket. Log in as normal. I did it for the Dundee game.
  19. It just goes to show how corrupt the majority of journalists are in this country.
  20. While I am delighted with the result. This taking off all attacking options with 15 to 10mins to go, is not pretty. Its gives the other team the momentum and leaves you sitting in the Cooper watching a match at the other end of the park. I get it that it worked, but I felt at 2 up we should have kept on the front foot and really finished them off. Just my opinion.
  21. If the referees were to apply a free kick for every "wee push", the game would be stopped every two minutes.. No, he made an error, and Motherwell should have been given the advantage.
  22. We've got a song for Amaluzer if he plays. The Beatles " I'm a Loser".
  23. The boy from Leicester could well be a good signing, but we still need someone in the midfield who can play a pass, and has some vision or we could end up with the hump ball football we were "entertained " with last season.
  24. At least the guy can score with both feet.
