  1. Sorry but Mr Dallas Jnr is a person who, because of his families support of Motherwell, bends over backwards not to appear biased towards Motherwell, and ends up being a total arsehole, by giving Motherwell no leeway whatsoever, whereas, as has been pointed out, didn't't book Lafferty, or send of No 66 for a two footed tackle near the end of the game, but books two Motherwell players for their first tackles. You imagine him chalking off the first goal, if it had been Sevco or Celtic. No chance! I will be happy if he never referees a Motherwell game again.
  2. Don't even know why we have guys on here saying £325k and he'll be away. I know the player would want a big pay day, but we have the trump cards in this situation. The player has 2 1/2 years of a contract to run. We don't need to sell at this point. There's only 24 hours left in the transfer window. So tell Celtic it's £1m and if they don't want to pay that. Fuck off! I would be extremely disappointed in Alan Burrows and the board if they were contemplating letting him go for anything less, and I would seriously consider getting rid of my shares and my Well Society membership.
  3. Tell Celtic to F*ck off unless they offer £1m +. They suck the life out of other teams in the same league, and then complain about the lack of competition. They are scum of the lowest order.

The seats in the East stand are for Motherwell supporters, so surely they can sit where they like within that area.
  5. What we need is the team to be set up correctly in the first half, and not at half time. The number of games where we have been poor in the first half of the game and gone behind, only to come out in the second half with substitutions and been a whole lot better is quite astonishing.
  6. I have to be honest and say that the weakest link in the defence is the left back. That has been obvious for months, his distribution is poor, and any right winger who cuts inside him will get past him. So OK he has a bit more pace than Steve Hammill, but Hammell is a much better passer of the ball, and has a great deal more experience. If it were me I'd be looking to give Stevie a run out, can't be any worse.
  7. The one thing we have to do against Celtic, is be right in their faces from the kick off, same as we did to Aberdeen in the quarter final. If we allow them space and time there will be only one outcome. So lets intimidate them from kick off. COYW.
  8. I think we have to drop our captain. In the games I've seen, he wants too much time on the ball, and try's too many fancy passes across field. He need to get back to basics, and look for the easy pass. The number of times he tries passes that never come off, is ridiculous.
  9. I was fortunate to watch one of the best Motherwell teams to win nothing" The Ancell Babes", and Bert McCann was one of that famous half back line Aitken Martis McCann, and in later years played golf with Bert. McCann, when the former players played at Wishaw. A really lovely articulate gentleman. RIP.
  10. No use in getting lots of crosses into the box, when virtually everyone of them was either overhit or underhit. It was shocking the number of wasted opportunities, when nobody was wide at the back post, to pick up one of the crosses.
  11. I'm in the opposite camp regards the hooped socks. I think there horrible, would rather have plain colour, otherwise the strips look OK.
  12. I'm sorry, but the points that guy has lost us, could get us relegated. We can point the finger at the defence as well, but if your a defender and you know your keeper is not coming off his line for anything, even in the 6 yard box, you have to go for it, hence why we have individual errors being made, and we have a lot of scrambled goals against us. As someone else commented, the other goalkeepers must be rank rotten.
  13. Question....Have we played the same eleven players twice? Seems to me we have never settled on the same team selection since the start of the season.
  14. Goalscorers at any level, are at a premium. Nothing less than £2m or they can go and take a hike!
  15. I thought for his first game Campbell was excellent.
  16. The problem for me is, if we put up season ticket prices, as far as I can see, it will only make some people think twice about buying one, and once they decide to not buy, the chances of them coming back are pretty slim. So this just makes the problem worst. To survive the club have to either put up prices again or offer less salaries for players. It would be nice to think, that they could reduce prices by 5% and gain 10% more punters, but I won't hold my breath.
  17. Lots of very good performances, but Scott McDonald by a mile.
  18. I should have posted yesterday, because I thought it would be James McFadden, so I'm absolutely delighted that it is him. Sentiment has nothing to do with it, we all know he will put everything into the role to make it a success, because he has the club at heart. Congratulations to him, and every success in the role.
  19. I agree with the point that too many changes can be a bad move. I would stick with our most recent 442 formation that worked. Gomis on the bench, Lasley back in midfield and replace Pearson (suspended) with McFadden.
  20. Got to say I'm happy with the appointment of McGhee. We now have to all pull together and get this club safe in the Premier League.
  21. John Hartson did that all his career and got away with it, why not skippy!
  22. Listening to Craigan, I wouldn't be unhappy if he were to get the job. He came across extremely well in his interview
  23. What he needs to do is get back to playing football on the deck. Stop what has happened in the last two games, with the goalkeeper humping the ball upfield at every opportunity, in the hope that one of the forwards might just get it. The last home game was just turgid, not once did the goalkeeper roll out to feet and try and play from the back and through the midfield. It was murder to watch. And then they wonder why people don't come back to football. Even I (and I've supported MFC for 50 odd years) have second thoughts about attending if this kick and rush football continues.
