  1. Hopefully see an improvement in shape and performance from a couple of weeks ago and maybe sneak a point or 3.
  2. fair play thanks for the clarity CO. The reality is we wanted £500k and got £250k. We were skint and in these circumstances the other party holds all the negotiating aces
  3. More than half of our league sign players from league two and conference sides and you think our league is on a par with the bottom end of the championship. Deary me, Aberdeen and rangers are full of league one cast offs ffs. Who at West Ham told you belic would breeze the spfl? And when did he suddenly become a premiership starlet. He never played a minute of premiership football.
  4. It's not fantasy football, If we are really struggling financially then we will take what's on offer. In Jamie Murphys case we wanted £500k. We got offered £100k plus several add ons (many of which were not realised - I'm not even sure we even got a sell on fee - happy to be corrected however). We taken that reduced offer cause we were skint. Even if a selling on fee was agreed it would have been negotiated to give us a little more as we knew sheff Utd would be unlikely to pay any more than £100k offered and it's better than nowt. Its a false economy - i would rather have £500k in the bank than £100k plus add ons.
  5. You do realise that sell on clauses are mutually agreeable?
  6. Well we should have watched him first to determine that ourselves. It's not West Ham's fault
  7. Celtic apart our league is not any greater than league one. The likes of Sheffield Utd wouldgive Aberdeen and rangers a run for their money never mind the rest. Hamilton and Inverness are conference equivalent teams no question about it. The success rate of players going to the championship from spfl premier hasn't been great of late, therefore it is seen as risky. Less so from league one. Don't know what West Ham have done wrong regarding belic - we signed him, he wasn't enforced upon us against our better wishes.
  8. With McManus? Stephen McManus is a far better centre half than Ben henaghan
  9. Yeah I agree. Please tell me he's contracted next season
  10. Can anyone remember the last time anyone had a decent game for us
  11. Like him or loathe him (I'm somewhere in between) he along with Pearson are the only midfielders likely to chip in with the odd goal or assist. He's worthy of a place on the bench for sure. Madness for McGhee to leave him out of the 16
  12. Rab McKinnon congratulates simo valikari on getting the gig
  13. Brian Kerr or jocky Scott would be some laugh
  14. Conspirency theorists would claim its no coincidence he reappears the day McGhee departs
  15. This post may not go down well here but here goes. its ok MB you should be allowed to call 'one of our own' shite as that's exactly what he has been of late, along with just about everyone else in the team. He needs to add something extra to his game as, at this moment in time, is easy to play against eg repeatedly running in to a defender and unsuccessfully trying to kick the ball past the full back and chase is becoming tiresome. Decent scouting in advance easily counters his main attributes. Maybe he's not been coached properly who knows? There's no doubt he tries, arguably more than others, but he's in with the big boys now we need quality along with effort. By way of comparison Richard tait has scored the same amount of goals as him and probably 3 times as many assists while cadden will have probably have similar goals and assists stats as ainsworth despite having significantly more game time. I'm happy to be corrected on these assumptions. And yes I'm fully aware cadden is better defensively than ainsworth. I'm not having it that he's burned out - we've had a few extra league cup games this season offset by having no preseason friendlies beforehand, as well as a winter break, therefore it's more down to form, lack of confidence, or as mentioned above defenders now know how to play against him.
  16. He'll get a game in centre mid. Two birds one stone.
  17. We have an infinite list of problems right now and Samson (who is utter shite) is only one of these. Replacing Samson whilst it would improve the team wouldn't necessarily save us from relegation
  18. Agree with most of the above - boycott is not the answer
  19. If this isn't game over for him we are stuck with him for life
  20. Inverness Ross county and Hamilton all in the last 8 weeks
  21. Euan Murray Luke watt Time for Barry maguire to step in to the void vacated by the previous wonder kids
