He played very briefly for a team I was involved in a year and a bit ago but left to have another stab at senior football, which, frankly, is the level he should be playing at. But for some reason or another it's not worked out for him which is a shame cause he's got the talent and he's s decent person in to the bargain

He's getting better every game. The problem that I can see from grimshaws perspective is that, given that he's out of contract at the end of the season, he may want to be seen in and around his parent club so he's not forgotten about. I'm not for a second suggesting he warrants, or is likely to be awarded, a new contract at man Utd but he's been there a long time and may feel that being there between now and the end of the season improves his chances.

Thought Dom Thomas was poor. I'm not ready to write him off just yet but he kills our counter attacks stone dead with his lack of pace. We are a far better team with Johnson as an out ball. It was so obvious the instruction was to get faddy a goal on his farewell. It actually became a pantomime when he came on. Still a professional job done and we are in the next round.

Kennedy had two horrendous games on the trot (Ross county and hearts) that's why he's dropped. We have a decent, arguably inflated, squad. We are now in the position whereby shite performances could cost your place in the team along with appearance money which may not be a bad thing. For too long too many at our club have been guaranteed a place in our squad irrespective of performance, If players cannot be motivated, even with financial incentive, to try and get back in the team then they don't deserve to be here. I'm not for a second implying that Kennedy is not willing to try and get his place back but competition can only be seen, in the long term, as a good thing.
