  1. It would appear you have carried out a fair bit of ground work in researching and preparing your presentation. Well done in that regard and certainly satisfies the out of the box thinking strategy that may be required to make the society a success. Whilst I don't believe some of your suggestions are as easy implemented as proposed, as a member of the well society I'm disappointed that you were 'ushered' out the door with not any form of feedback or reasoned debate on the merits, or otherwise, of your suggestions.
  2. Either an edit job or I've read it wrong. Most likely the latter
  3. Piece on club website advising that well society has paid £200k of £1M loan owed to Les. At the very least it's good to see communication. Not convinced of the long term viability, similar to others, but will continue to make my monthly contributions
  4. Tranmere and Wrexham will surely both have more home supporters than we do? Not sure about the rest.
  5. What does work in our favour is we have different options upfront for different games. We have five decent strikers at this level (plus Clarkson) who all offer something different. If we can get the service right, and tighten up the defence, then we should be comfortably safe this season. It's a big if however. But I think McGhee the man to do it.
  6. Yip - you can graduate with a degree in turning extremely shite full backs in to even worse midfielders
  7. Well done McGhee and the players. Sounded like a much inproved performance
  8. Both barraclough and craigan had said none of the youngsters were ready to start regularly in the first team. If anyone is likely to know its craigan. Worryingly, while we are on the topic of youths, I have heard that there is a short to medium term change in focus from developing our own right through the teams to trying to cherrypick youngsters from other, less resourceful, clubs to address the lack of quality coming through our ranks. This is an acceptance that our current youth setup is not delivering what it should. One of the clubs believed to be targeted was Livingston but they have had their most promising youths within their academies for years and we can't afford the compensation for any of them.
  9. I voted for him too then watched the highlights back and seen he should have conceded 2 stonewall penalties, missed a fairly routine header at the near post which led to Celtics goal and missed our 2 best chances
  10. Charmers is more than capable on the ball - he's just painfully slow off the ball
  11. There was a visual message displayed by both home and away supporters. Being delivered together made it wrong in my eyes
  12. John Sutton wore adidas blue circle - end of debate
  13. Jim gannon was the first manager to regularly play Shaun Hutchinson was he not?
  14. Hard to disagree with any of that. Perhaps would add yesterday was a free game for McGhee only a couple of training sessions beforehand and a game we were expected to lose. That said if we are going to go down the road of 433 long term, which will no doubt be in mcghees plans, we will need to trade a couple of strikers for midfielders in January.
  15. Yeah me too. Will be judged again after a spell of wet weather or when the under soil hearing bakes it for a sustained period however
  16. Kennedy - McManus and moult the only others to get pass marks. All three helped keep the score respectable with decent defensive work. Moult effectively playing left back first half hour
  17. We haven't been very good with him either tho have we to be fair
  18. Lasley still has a role to play in a 3 man centre midfield but his times well and truly up if we play 442
  19. Meldrum went to Dundee Utd with mixu did he not? Anyhow back on track, Someone who was involved in the club for a long time confirmed Crawford was indeed sacked for being utterly incompetent
