  1. Where's the post for the Bucharest 125 and a round dodger
  2. Sasa curcic would be the best podcast ever
  3. If that's the case a good number on here will be disappointed. I don't particularly want to see him playing again for us simply because I don't believe he's good enough, but for some wanting him jailed for a crime that no one knows whether he committed is pretty poor
  4. Jackson Irvine was excellent in the 2 2 game against us in December - I've not seen a lot of him otherwise although he seems to be highly rated by Ross county fans. The only way he would fit in to our team is by replacing Lasley though. That could be a dangerous route to go down however. I don't believe that lasley is good enough now to be starting every week, but if Irvine replaces him and we have a poor start to the season the knives could be out for the manager not to mention the potential for disharmony amongst senior players
  5. Wonder if Sutton and McLean are missing us
  6. Clarkson looked a tad 'chunky' tho there's time to get weight off
  7. You do realise agents get paid to come away with shite like that? It's called drumming up interest in the player, although it's that far fetched the agent may get his licence revoked
  8. He's still not good enough for Birminghams youth sides. The only things that he looked remotely capable of in the last couple of years was incompetence or not being shit scared of mohsni. West brom
  9. Fraser Kerr was at Birmingham for 2 years and was struggling to get a game for their youth sides. Why the fuck would west brom be interested in him?
  10. +1 He was the best player (by some considerable distance) in a Motherwell team fighting relegation and was a joy to watch. However he was never good enough to be anything other than joe average at English Premiership level. He had (raw) talent, but that talent was either never coached, or he never allowed it to be coached, properly to be a more rounded player. Lack of pace held him back certainly and if you playing left wing as he was at the time then you are up against it at that level. You also need to be able to retain possession of the ball in England and faddy was incapable of that unfortunately. He was however capable of moments of magic. He was one of the few bright spots of the last Motherwell team to finish bottom of the league and I will never forget the hattrick against Livingston nor the goal I seen him score in the reserves against St Johnstone. His first spell at Motherwell was so good that it made his second spell look like it was a totally different player playing which was sad to see, particularly if you consider the regression in quality in the Scottish game during the time he was away.
  11. No thanks. There's a difference between being a good coach and good to have around the club. Also he's totally finished as a player at our level unfortunately. It's painful watching him trying to play football.
  12. Home strip is a belter - away decent too
  13. Pretty sure it was the day van der gaag got a bad knee injury. It was a warm day that day and quite a few were lying on the terracing sunbathing rather than watching the game. Memory sketchy but sure we won in extra time or penalties
  14. Barraclough frantically flicking through the Motherwell past & present book to see whose next to be signed. Junior burns is waiting patiently for the phone call
  15. the very point im making. Do I think clarkson is good enough to be a regular starter for us? No Was clarkson one of the most exciting talents Scotland produced? No Do I want him to be a success for us? absolutely yes
  16. At that time Garry oconnor was a better prospect than David clarkson that was the point I was making
  17. My mistake sieb forgot about 2003/04 where he scored a lot. But you are kidding yourself on if you thought he was a a better talent than any of the forwards of similar age around that time eg Derek riordan, kris Boyd, Steven Naismith, Garry oconnor, Paul Gallagher
  18. Clarkson had one terrific season under McGhee and got a good move on the back of it- the rest he was not very good. His first touch was one of the worst I had seen from any professional footballer, and on the evidence of what I had seen last season he no longer has the mobility he once possessed. He is a downgrade on every striker we had last season bar mchugh. I really really want him to succeed but he's no way near good enough to be starting every week. There is no way this is a barraclough or owers signing
  19. I'm mobile compared to ol' concrete boots doesn't mean they should sign me. The experienced players have too much influence when it comes to signing players it would seem
  20. We are a retirement village for former players. Not quite the community club I had envisaged.
