Lennon Miller attracting interest from some big English clubs allegedly according to BBC gossip Scouts from Celtic and Rangers watched Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller captain Scotland under-19s this week and were joined by representatives from Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa. (Scottish Sun)

I take your point about remembering more from games than the result, I'm the same but it's Goals like Jutkewitz in the 6-6 game, Colin O'Neil with the 3rd in the 91 semi, Steven Craigan opening the gate for his throw in, great or terrible tackles, etc. My point is these are all that fans remember, can you tell me how much possession we had in the 6-6 game, or the various finals and euro game we've been in, no neither can I. As I said the stats that matter are Goals scored, points won, final league positions, and the number of trophies won at the end of the season. All the shite we get nowadays expected Goals ratio, corners, possession, etc etc is just meaningless drivel.
-
I got the jist of it OK, but as I said earlier irrelevant statistics that nobody remembers, but if if discussing it in depth maintains your illusion of superiority feel free.
-
Nah, just wanting your team to win patter, the only thing people remember about games is the result, not how much possession you had, shots on target, corners, etc etc. So the stats are irrelevant it's did Motherwell score more than the other team, that wins points and prizes.
-
I'll settle for 1% possession in the last minute to create a sweeping move that results in a winning goal and 3 points to take back to the Shire.

Time for the new board and CEO to step up and take charge with a minimum £6 million fee to start negotiating.

Therin lies the problem, the football authorities, club officials, Stewards, even I daresay the police are all shit scared of upsetting the Blue and Green uglies, so they do feck all in situations like the one we saw at the Celtic game. Visible overcrowding, thousands of fans standing (when individuals in the POD were being told to sit down), etc it's a blatant disregard of safety guidelines so as not to upset the uglies. I live in hope that one day the other 40 clubs in Scotland will grow a set and finally demand changes on the way the game in this country is governed to remove the influence that the bigot brothers have.

Well according to him there was 200 tickets not used apparently, they must have been for the hospitality boxes as I struggled to see one spare seat never mind 200. All I'm saying is that the "migration theory" sounds implausible given what everyone could see. Thats two Celtic games in a row there has been highly visible overcrowding so something is not right.
-
I still think that explanation is very suspect Dave, there did not look to be enough spare seats in the top tier to explain the " migration theory" to the lower stand, two of the top tier stairways were also rammed. As for taking no action as alleged per police advice, the club are effectively sanctioning unsafe conditions, would the police take responsibility if a serious incident had occurred? I think not

A game we should have won, we created enough chances that day.

We all know he will go eventually he's probably the number 1 saleable asset in Scottish football at the moment. £5.3 million is a lot of cash for Motherwell but for me, selling your best players to a rival team in the league is never a good idea, especially the green uglies, career wise that would be a bad move for him. When he goes I would rather it was to England or Abroad plus we would probably get more cash if that was the case
-
You forgot to cover the draw, that will have them all complaining as well, no matter what the result is SK will be blamed for something.

Sportscene showed the close up, Hallidays elbow is tight to his body as was his right hand that the ball hit, fired at him from less than a yard, a complete disgrace to award a pen for that, shocking decision. And then we saw the good side of VAR, in spotting the St J player handling the ball into the net on 91 mins. There were not many consistent refereeing decisions on show yesterday and the sad thing is nobody is surprised.
-
Kaleta for me, thought he was great.
-
Possestion stats are irrelevant, it's goals that count you could have 5% possession but if you score more than the other team you get the points, so lighten up, enjoy another victory and gies peace.
-
A helpful hint for SK re Robinson, drop him immediately he has been brutal and offers nothing to the team, with no sign of any improvement either.
-
I suspect Dundee won't be financing a project of that size alone, even with their rich US backers, they will be part of a consortium of various investors. No doubt selling off Dens park and the land it's on along with additional cash from their owners will make up their share.
-
Sensible well reasoned posts like that have no place on this forum. SK could win the treble for us, get us to the champions league groups and the usual SK haters on here would still be obsessed with getting rid of him, eat, sleep, rave about SK , repeat.

No point in explaining the obvious to steelboy if it does not fit his narrative it's ignored. -

I agree, bringing on Robinson and Tavares was a waste of time both of them are brutal, Watt and Ebiye should have been on as they pose more of a threat. Losing a goal right after half time was the killer, our confidence just went and it gave Rangers a boost they did not deserve, we then got deeper and deeper sitting back waiting for the inevitable winner from Rangers. I am hoping SK sees what everyone else does that our midfield is grim, at least 2 required in the January window and a goal scorer would be nice as well. -

Just back in, big chance for a final missed today, we made them look good. 1-0 in front after a great Halliday goal at half time and we came out and offered feck all 2nd half, no goal threat at all, instead of getting at them and pressing high we sat back and let them dictate the game, when they scored their 1st goal it was only going to end one way. That said it saves the pain of another pumping by Celtic in the final. -
Points are always welcome, but its game 10 of a 38 game season, it's not that important.
-
I'm giving the club the benefit of the doubt and assuming they are not selling 5,500 tickets for a 5,000 capacity stand so yes I do. The green uglies have previous for it, so I suspect another emergency exit or two has been forced open, and nothing done to prevent it.
-
You don't need attendance data ffs, Roy Orbiston could have seen that the stand was overcrowded, but strangely the stewards etc did not. Every stairway especially on the bottom tier was rammed, as were the exit passages, it's an accident waiting to happen and the club seem to be doing feck all to prevent it, that's two Celtic games in a row now that this has happened.
-
Yes that's right, not sure if it happened on Sunday but it did the last time the uglies were at Fir park. Every stairway and exit was full of standing fans on Sunday, they were even standing on the steelwork at the back of the top tier, so the stand was well above capacity. What annoys me though is the stewards and police stood and watched this happening and did feck all, so much for ensuring the safety of supporters, what's the point of them being there. The club are well aware of what's happening but are doing nothing to sort it out, can you imagine the uproar if it was well fans storming the gates at parkhead. The football authorities in Scotland have always pandered to the green and blue uglies, the other clubs need to start asking why and get it sorted out
