It's irrelevant what position he plays he could have been a striker, defender, keeper etc the point is he's 17, considered good enough for international football and was played, that does not happen if you are Scottish at least not under Clarke. Greece had a 17yo winger scoring, Spain had a 17yo striker scoring, Scotland had alleged experienced duds not scoring and under performing again and we wonder why we get relegated.
-
Clarke has previous for filling squads with players he has no intention of giving any game time to. The boy that scored the 2nd goal for Greece was 17 ffs if they are considered good enough to be selected they should be played. As has been mentioned in other posts the promising young players in Scotland have been badly coached and developed for years,by successive regimes Some of these guys are regular starters for their respective teams, but get dumped in the nonsense that is the u21 set up, if they have the ability get them in the full squad and then maybe we could build a team for the future, instead of sticking with the so called experienced dross that constantly under performs year after year.
-
I refer to the likes of, Slicker, Conway, Hirst, Adams, Dykes and a large list of non Scots given caps over the years because they had a Scottish Granny or Grandpa etc at the expense of homegrown talent like Miller, Turnbull, Doak, to name a few in a long list. The whole Scotland set up is a shambles as some of the best and promising talent in the country is constantly being overlooked.
-
When will people realise that Clarke and the rest of the Scotland management are useless fuds, constantly filling the squads with bang average at best non Scots just because their Granny or Granpa ate shortbread at the expense of homegrown talent like Miller etc. Its time for the whole management team to be binned and replaced.

Is the McGhee alleged pre contract thing still happening, given that was a Kettlewell choice, or is he going to do a Lammie and stay at Dens park.

A quality tune " you got me" what a band they are

A great point today, considering we offered feck all up front, the two goals apart we had only 1 other decent chance. Some of our play was excellent it actually looked like we had a midfield today, but we are still giving the ball away to easily St Mirren are thugs, the dirtiest team I've seen at Fir park for years, plus the ref was useless how Gogic was never booked is a disgrace. I'm a bit disappointed that we did not press them higher in those last 15 mins and get the winner but from 2-0 down it was a great point.

Only one contender today, has to be Slattery
-
I tend to agree with that, he's never fit and it seems to have got worse since his wife had the baby, I don't think he wants to be here if some of the online chat is to be believed. As for the 8 weeks out with the broken wrist, that stinks of an excuse, Edin dzeko played for Fenerbache on Thursday night with a cast on his arm ffs, so why can't Stamatelopoulos play.
-
The bar is fairly low when it comes to that accolade, Robinson, Ebiye, Watt for example.

Fir park the place to further your career

Hope he gets a start, and he moves on as a current international player as that will increase his value, £10 million will be a bargin 😁

The comparisons made about McFadden and Phil O'Donnell are not valid in today's football market, the amount of cash in the game , the level of transfer fees paid is vastly different to the cash on offer 20 years ago. Big clubs are paying millions for untried players , young players, etc hoping that they will turn out to be decent players to sell on at vast profits. So is £10 million from say Newcastle too much for Miller, for me no if he fulfills his potential becomes a regular starter his value will double so its a good investment. If we can persuade a club to pay £1.6 million plus add ons for Theo Bair ffs, getting £10 million for Miller should be easy.
-
£10 million for big European clubs English premiership or championship teams is small change, but it depends on what serious offers the club gets, so £10 million might be achievable plus add ons etc.
-
That's because the non ugly sister's fans are very much in the minority and the blue and green hoardes refuse to accept any other reality than Billy's or Tim's.
-
Rangers are his big team, nobody in west Centre Scotland ever believes you when you say i just support Motherwell or Partick or St Mirren etc.
-
I think it's a mandatory 6 or 7 mins if they need goals or 0 if they are winning 🤔
-
We've been here before, let's hope we learn from previous mistakes and keep getting right into them for the rest of the game
-
And never created a shot on target or looked like scoring so I think our high press tactics worked well, the only time they threatened was 2nd half when we sat deeper just before they scored.
-
Thompson for me, thought he was outstanding tonight, never stopped running, always wanting to get forward he had a great game.

You could have the best referees and Var officials in the world, the best VAR technology available, but it would not change the fundamental problem with VAR, it ruining the game, forget all this " clear and Obvious error" nonsense they keep spouting, it's sole purpose is to actively seek out reasons to disallow goals, get players sent off etc, what's the point of having a referee on the pitch. I watched a game last week and there was a near 4 min delay to confirm a goal ffs, the enjoyment of celebrating a goal is being slowly taken away from the fans. It needs binned ASAP
-
All we need is for him to get enough shine on it to last till May, then we can get rid of the dross in the summer and he can rebuild the team in his own style.
-
He's hardly played, spent the majority of his time in the Shire on the treatment table, a new family to look after so he probably wants back to Australia and the sunshine.
-
What technology are we using to allow us to progress then? Or was that the only random German phrase you could find?

Massive game for the club,, to see how the players respond to the new manager we've beaten untd 3 times already this season so here's hoping for a 4th sucess coyw.
