Must have been a bigger incident than people thought, another 5 people arrested today, no clue as to what team if any they supported. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn0de985llqo

Spittal scoring for Hearts tonight in the euro conference league, seems to be getting in among the goals in recent weeks.
-
Its not doubling up at the turnstiles its fans once inside the ground rushing the stewards and, opening the fire escape doors and letting hundreds of their pals in for free. The police and stewards knew the south stand was overcrowded before the game started but as usual they stood back and did feck all about it, if they are not going to intervene there is no point in them being there.
-
We should take the financial hit and refuse to send them tickets, that will save all of the subsequent seat / Stadium damage, the stewards won't be harassed and the rest of us will enjoy the game in a much more pleasant atmosphere. It won't happen but it would be a nice change.

A stomach bug apparently, obviously had to get to the toilet quickly.

As usual against Celtic, I'm hoping for a win or Draw, but expecting the inevitable defeat. Our current midfield gives me the fear though so I see another 90 mins of no decent service to front players and the defence resorting to punting endless high balls forward hoping for the best. Our best hope of a goal could be Balmer with his long throws.
-
A bit like you then in your constant criticism of him. Strangely though when we are winning and playing well it's radio silence, and lo and behold a bad result yesterday and it's SK's fault again.
-
Offered feck all today, and got what we deserved nothing, Dundee were just as bad,got the nose in front and we never threatened them. Robinson needs dropped, he's pish, but our alleged front line were all equally as bad, Watt and Ebiye were anonymous. Big improvements needed to get back on track.

I don't think the term "deliberate " is relevant theses days, VAR sees an incident as a handball and then decides does it merit a sanction, ie penalty or free kick etc. Most handballs penalised will result in a yellow card or yellow card plus penalty and a few like Caseys incident that denied a certain goal will be a red card and penalty. It's all fairly straightforward in the two examples mentioned, Refs and VAR got it right for a change.
-
Casey handling the ball stopped a certain goal, hence the red card, souttar handling the ball def pen but given the position of the keeper he would in all probability have saved it if souttar had not handled it. For me the refs and VAR got these two decisions 100% correct.

Ox is a big upgrade on Kelly now that we've seen what he can do, which makes it even more annoying that SK stuck with Kelly all of last season, considering the number of points he cost us.

Regular 1st pick players like casey will always miss games for whatever reason injury, suspension etc. So it's up to the player who comes in to cover to show that they should be the 1st pick and Balmer made a case for that on Saturday so he probably deserves a run in the team to show he's up to it. It's a good position for a manager to be in to have a squad with cover for most positions.

Blair Spittal getting his first goal for Hearts up at Pittodrie this afternoon

Something concerning must have happened judging by the number of police on show. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c243g11q7r6o

The buses usually got parked just in front of lesser Hampden, coming in from carmunock Rd, but since that's been renovated for Queens Park to use now they might not have the space. I've never seen buses in the main car park in front of the south stand. -
Max Johnson and mika Biereth both starting for Sturm Graz in the champions league tonight against club Brugge.

He's a record breaker, no manager will beat his stats. Not the record Rodgers wants...published at 21:57 British Summer Time 21:57 BST FT: Borussia Dortmund 7-1 Celtic Brendan Rodgers is the only manager to witness his team concede seven goals in a Champions League game more than once. This is the third time it's happened on his watch. Barcelona and Paris St-Germain were the others to hit seven past Celtic during Rodgers' first spell at Celtic.

That was a very strange signing, according to his wiki page he's had 4 clubs including us since 2020 and registered a total of 7 appearances, plus I think he had 1 as a sub for us in the league cup, so 8 in 4 years. The stats say he has only scored 11 goals in his entire club and international career since 2009, would love to know who recommended him as a good signing.

Consistency is an unknown concept for Scottish referees, I thought the new VAR technology would end all these debates, but it hasn't, all it's done is highlight the fact that the referees are worse than we imagined at times.
-
Correct, definite pen but he did not deny a certain goal, Butland had the ball covered if Souttar had missed it so no red card required.
-
How is it the same ffs, souter wasn't red carded so no appeal required. Anyone who thinks Casey should not have been sent off yesterday is talking shite it was a clear handball on the line preventing a certain goal, none of the players complained, VAR confirmed the refs call so the correct decision was made. Why waste money on an appeal that's never going to be upheld. Casy took one for the team, he made a brilliant save to stop the goal and Oxborough done the same to save the pen.
-
Why waste time appealing, watch the sportscene coverage he just about caught the ball that was heading into the net, so a penalty and a red card for preventing a certain goal was the only option.
