  1. 2 rumours from the BBC gossip page this morning, Motherwell stand to profit to the tune of £750,000 as former winger Marvin Johnson homes in on £3m switch to Middlesbrough from Oxford. (Daily Record) Ben Heneghan is set to see out the remainder of his contract at Motherwell after the club rejected three bids from Blackburn, while striker Louis Moult is also expected to stay on at Fir Park. (Sun)
  2. We will never know for sure unless the club's go public but was listening to radio Clyde and they mentioned the 10% sell on deal that Celtic had for Van Dijk and how it could be worth 8 mil to them if he went to Liverpool for the reported 80 million, so fairly sure most other deals will be the same i.e. the % of the total new transfer fee.
  3. No it's not the percentage of any future transfer fee negotiated is a percentage of that future fee, i.e. if we got a 25% add on in the Johnson deal and he goes for 2 million then we are due 500k simples
  4. Which goal gets your vote? 1% Eduardo Vargas (Tigres UANL) 5% Frank Nouble (Newport) 1% Tonny Vilhena (Feyenoord) 38% Louis Moult (Motherwell) 10% Marco Asensio (Real Madrid) 1% Akindele (FC Dallas) 39% Billy Knott (Lincoln) 1% Enis Bardhi (Levante) 1% Jefferson Savarino (Real Salt Lake) 3% Koke (Atletico Madrid) Louis is catching up, not much in it now, get voting if you have not already done it
  5. The thing that annoys me is that if Heneghan was playing at a league 1 or 2 club in England, maybe even national league Blackburn would probably be having to bid 2 or 3 times that amount.
  6. I am sure ZFA joined the season after the champions league qualifier, think he played in Europa league against Krasnodar.
  7. Look at the picture you posted, it was not even close FFS,even from that angle it's goal all the way,Just another example of the shocking standard of match officials in Scotland.
  8. An easy choice for this one Kipre was outstanding.
  9. I am guessing that the majority of shirts worn by ex and current professional footballers might fall into the " a bit tight " category for the majority of Fans, unless there is any of Andy Gorams old kit lying about.
  10. Only signed till the end of the season according to the official site, so looks like we are having a good look at him, and maybe a longer deal if it works out so i would say definitely one for the future.
  11. Personally I think he won't be sold this transfer window, I can see him maybe singing a pre contract with another team in January and then running his contract down so we end up with nothing for him. Its all very well throwing figures about re what we think he is worth etc but if there are no potential buyers out there then he will be staying where he is.
  12. Nothing to do with the weather, it was a game of 2 halves due to the fact that we were utter pish for the 1st 45. Don't know what Robinson said but we were a different team 2nd half and it worked, a good 3 points.
  13. Bowman for me thought he was excellent never stopped and we were the better team for it.
  14. The only positive we had from the 1st half was a 0-0 score a truly dreadful 45 mins of football. After the break we looked a completely different team Bowman made all the difference he was great today, put him self about, winning headers etc shame he never got a goal to round off a good shift. As well as that Moult looked a different player with Bowman up top with him so positive all round. As for Fisher and Tanner, they can leave any time utter garbage from the 2 of them, Tanner at least tried but Fisher spent 45 mins jogging about the park trying to get as far away from the ball as possible I honestly don't think he touched the ball. In the end a well deserved 3 points to get us up and running.
  15. Quote from BBC gossip this morning Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson believes last season's top scorer Louis Moult will play for the club for at least another year, despite not signing a new contract. (National) We might have moult for the season
  16. Aye and Killie got beaten by a crap Hearts side so sounds like he made a valuable contribution, I don't think so.
  17. That post just about sums up the problems re the standard of refereeing in Scotland these guys are accountable to nobody, they can feck up as much as they like as nothing will happen, just give them a lower league game for a week and hope we all forget how bad some of them are. The SFA need to sort it as every Red card they recind is tantamount to admitting the match officials got it wrong but we all know they will do nothing so fans of every team will be having this conversation every season.
  18. That's true if all he was going to do was award StJ a free kick and book Carson as per the rules of the game. But for a red card he needs to be certain Carson's actions denied a clear goal scoring opportunity and from what we have seen there is no way he could be, he is a useless Fud, and the fact that him and Beaton have been dropped into the championship this week suggests others think he is as well.
  19. This would be the linesman who never flagged so I assume never saw an issue and the decision given by Thompson who was further away behind the ball and 2 players so he had a great view, aye right. It all right being a bit smug and told you so from zoomed in stils from the TV, and forensic analysis of alleged conversations between match officials, but in real time could Thompson have Been 100% sure no, and as for the red card Google FIFA laws of the game rule 12 as it should never have been a red, I have pasted the relevant parts below. Deliberate Handball in Football Does handball in football have to be deliberate? If a player 'handles the ball deliberately' the opposing team gets a free kick or a penalty (if the offense happened inside the penalty area). The rule does not apply to a goalkeeper* handling it inside his own area. There are extra directives reminding referees about this rule infringement. It does not normally require a caution card or dismissal for a player deliberately handling the ball. The tricky part of determining the intention rests solely with the referee. Note the line about does not normally require a caption or red card. The bottom line is that Thompson is a useless incompetent arsehole
  20. I know he has had his critics in recent seasons but I think he has been a fantastic player for us since he signed, these days 34 is not that old for player so the injurys must have caught up with him. I hope we have a plan to replace him as I think that it will be a case of we never knew how much he contributed to the team until he is no longer in it. Wish him all the best in the coaching role.
  21. If Thompson had been in charge of that game Dave, he would have stopped play, and awarded the penalty, he seems to have issues with the advantage rule, oh and of course we would have missed the Pen as well.
  22. WTF, even by your standards that is utter bollocks, the average age of the team may be low but most if not all of those guys have played hundreds of games at whatever level they were at before they came to Fir park. If by inexperienced you mean they are not diving cheating b**st**ds like some of the Accies team i.e. Imrie and try to play football then yes we are inexperienced, but i know what style of Football i would want to watch.
  23. Just watched the highlights on you tube, and all i can say is that i have never seen so many blatant fuck ups and ridiculous decisions by a referee in a single match, Thompson has taken the art of being an arsehole of a man to new levels. 1st goal, the free kick that led up to it was a shocking decision, no contact from the Motherwell player at all if anything it should have been a free kick for Motherwell for a handball. Carson's red card - freeze the video at 4.06 in, half the ball and Carson's hands are on the line, so not outside, the linesman never saw it, Thompson had at least 2 players blocking his view, so i doubt very much that he saw it from where he was, so again a ridiculous decision. No advantage for Moult, he is away and clear after beating 2 men, but that fud of a ref plays no advantage and brings the play back to award a free kick, instead of letting the play run and booking the player later if required. He has previous for that pish remember he never gave the 3rd goal in the Rangers playoff at Fir park, after Erwin was brought down and Sutton scored, he awards the pen instead of just letting the play run especially since we scored. Dunne's red card, minimal contact if any and the STJ player takes at least another 2 strides then falls down, he should have been booked for diving never mind winning a pen, and as for a straight red for Dunne, a feckin disgrace. Irrespective of how we played today Thompson's incompetence ruined the game, we might not have got an equaliser but at least with a full team on the park, even with 10 men as McHugh deserved to get sent off we would have had a chance. The sad thing for me is that the refereeing supervisor was watching that pish performance from the ref and will do feck all about it, and Thompson will no doubt be off on a UEFA gig next week. I fully expect Carson's and Dunnes red cards to be cancelled but the damage has been done and we got nothing from the game, the sooner the SFA brings in video replays / refs or whatever they call them the better but they are a bunch of useless pricks at the best of times so i wont be holding my breath.
  24. It's justified because Thompson is a useless arsehole of a referee, the standard in Scotland is poor but he takes the incompetence to new levels.
  25. Some chat on BBC already that Carson's red might have been a mistake, so would not be surprised if the other 2 were dubious as well. A very bad day at the office but 2 games in its not that important, onwards and upwards for RC next week.
